Self Mutilators Anonymous - What is Self Mutilators Anonymous? Self Mutilators Anonymous is a fellowship of men andwomen who share their experience, strength, and hope with each other, that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from physical self-mutilation. We meet twice a week in New York City (NOTE: California as well) and once a week on-line and use the 12 Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous to stop compulsive self-mutilation. We wish to help others to recover from self-mutilation. If you identify with us, join us in our on-line fellowship. There is a solution. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop mutilating oneself physically. There are no dues or fees for SMA membership. We are self-supporting through our own contributions. SMA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy; neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to stop mutilating ourselves and to help others to recover from self-mutilation. By physical self-mutilation, we mean deliberately causing injury to our bodies without the intention of ending our lives. This includes cutting ourselves, tearing out body hair, burning ourselves, scratching until blood is drawn, reopening wounds, swallowing objects, banging our heads against the wall, breaking bones or teeth, tearing or severely biting cuticles or nails, chewing the inside of the mouth, compulsive body-tattooing, excessive cosmetic surgeries, body-piercing, acne mutilation, etc. Homepage - http://www.selfmutilatorsanonymous.org/ meeting locator - http://www.selfmutilatorsanonymous.org/default.asp#Meetings

What is Al-Anon - What is Al-Anon? The Al-Anon Family Groups are a fellowship of relatives and friends ofalcoholics who share their experience, strength, and hope, in order to solve their common problems. We believe alcoholism is a family illness, and that changed attitudes can aid recovery. Al-Anon is not allied with any sect, denomination, political entity, organization, or institution; does not engage in any controversy, neither endorses nor opposes any cause. There are no dues for membership. Al-Anon is self-supporting through its own voluntary contributions. Al-Anon has but one purpose: to help families of alcoholics. We do this by practicing the Twelve Steps, by welcoming and giving comfort to families of alcoholics, and by giving understanding and encouragement to the alcoholic. Help is here for the asking. Please take a moment to ask yourself these questions: "Are You Troubled By Someone's Drinking?" or "Did You Grow Up With A Problem Drinker?" If you identify with some of these statements, it is important to know that help and hope for friends and families of alcoholics is just a phone call away. What is Domestic Violence Anonymous? - What is Domestic Violence Anonymous? Domestic Violence Anonymous is a program for womenand men who, through shared experience, strength, hope and honesty are recovering from domestic violence. Whether the domestic violence happened as adults or as children, Domestic Violence Anonymous welcomes everyone who wants to stop the emotional, physical or mental violence in their lives. Domestic Violence Anonymous is not affiliated with any public, or private organization, political movement, ideology or religious organization; we take no position on outside issues. Our primary purpose is to overcome domestic violence and to carry this message of recovery to those who still suffer. How do we do this? We offer a 12 Steps program for victims of abuse that is based on the methods of Alcoholics Anonymous. The solution offered has had good results as evidenced by people attending Domestic Violence Anonymous Meetings in the United States as well in New Zealand, Russia, Australia, Poland; and soon Spain and Mexico (Our Domestic Violence Manual is being translated into Spanish.). Presented to you by Baylaw, a non-profit organization that exists to serve the victims of domestic violence. All officers and staff are unpaid volunteers; and we do not accept money from any government agency. Homepage - http://baylaw.org/ Meeting Locator - unknown

What is NA - What is NA? NA is a non-profit fellowship or society of men and women for whom drugs had become a major problem. We are recovering addicts who meet regularly to help each other stay clean. This is a program of complete abstinence from all drugs. There is only one requirement for membership, the desire to stop using. We suggest that you keep an open mind and give yourself a break. Our program is a set of principles written so simply that we can follow them in our daily lives. The most important thing about them is that they work. There are no strings attached to NA. We are not affiliated with any other organizations. We have no dues or fees, no pledges to sign, no promises to make to anyone. We are not connected with any political, religious, or law enforcement groups, and are under no surveillance at any time. Anyone may join us, regardless of age, race, sexual identity, creed, religion, or lack of religion. We are not interested in what or how much you used or who your connections were, what you have done in the past, how much or how little you have, but only in what you want to do about your problem and how we can help. The newcomer is the most important person at any meeting because we can only keep what we have by giving it away. We have learned from our group experience that those who keep coming to meetings regularly stay clean.
