This is not a difficult process at all really....the main thing you need to know is the url (address) of the site you want to link to. You add a link to text, or to a picture or an animated gif. You will need to open your editor page to do this, if you are doing the link on your web page. If you linking to a page on your site...... it is very simple....the page is already provided for you and you don't need to know the url. Take a line of text and highlight it by holding your left mouse button down and dragging your cursor across the text. Release the mouse button when you have highlighted the part you want. . Leave it highlited and clik on the thing on the left side of the calendar looking thing at the top of the editor page that looks like a round thing with glasses. You will see this pop up If you are linking to another site.....TYPE or use the copy/paste technic to get the url into the box for it....you don't need the http part....it has already been done for you. If you are linking to another group, it will look like.....groups.msn.com(name of the site) other wise the URL should start with WWW (name of the site)......When linking to another page inside the community, use the drop down list at the top under SELECT A COMMUNITY PAGE then click on the page you want to link to... If using a gif or picture to link to....you can either HIGHLIGHT the picture by left clicking and holding down the button, dragging your pointer over the picture, you will see it change color indicating it is highlighted and ready for a link to be inserted.. Or in most cases you can click on the picture itself and you should see "handles" little squares on each corner and one on each side.......this means that the picture has been "selected"....then use the process above. You can do the same thing in your posts.....use the same process as above and you can link to anywhere. Bet you didn't think this one was going to be this short huh....... |
