No 2 I walk, but have no legs. I sleep, but never dream. You can rock me in a cradle, but I am not a baby and I can go around the world faster than you can cross a room. What am I? AnswerA yo-yo |

No 3 Four legs have I, a sturdy fellow A fuzzy back that isn't yellow But (often) green or (rarely) red A den is where I make my bed My keepers feed me coloured balls With sticks they store on my den walls Sometimes I store them in my pouch Sometimes deep in my belly; ouch! That's when you'll see me acting strange Instead of balls, I'll eat your change And that's my cue to feed again Chalk it up to hunger, friend! HintTake two words in the last two lines out of their context for a big hint. Hide AnswerA billiard (pool) table.

No 4 I can run swiftly and silently when you want me to stay still, I can move slowly and cautiously and am yours to fill. You look at me often and yet you always forget me, I am the most feared killer, yet you can't live without me. Sometimes you have me for all to spare, Yet when you need me, I am not there. You can waste me, or cherish me, you choose the track, But once you're done you can never get me back. AnswerTime

No 5 I'm powerful enough to clean most anything, Yet gentle enough to eat.
I'm used to make an explosion of sorts, Yet can be found at millions of stores worldwide.
I can kill grass, And even tenderize your meat.
I can clean up even the smelliest stench, and soften your fabrics.
What am I? AnswerBaking Soda.

No 7 Before I came, confusion abounded. I'm late, I'm late was frequently sounded.
I'm not average, but was based on a mean. My size, in theory, is constant: fifteen.
I'm two dozen steps, again in theory. But walk my length and you'd get weary.
I take half and quarter steps at times. In reality, I don't follow the lines.
I shrink to nothing in two cold extremes. Over a thousand miles wide in the betweens.
What am I? HintA Canadian proposal, a fix, Proposed to the world in 1876.
Eventually it was adopted in time, In most major countries by 1929. Hide AnswerTime zones.
