I've looked at this "Multiply" site myself, and I am NOT impressed at all. I've pitched this idea to a couple of my other feds already, and it would probably work out for the better for most of us. GoDaddy.com has domains for sale all the time at cheap cheap prices..like $5/month. We could start transistioning all of our stuff over to there in the next couple months (rosters, landmark posts, shows, etc.) and be ready to roll out of MSN, since they want to be ghey and shut us down to save a few bucks. Ernie, Roxy, what would you two think about that?

Ehhh of course it sucks but that is what everyone seems to be doing these days.  Looking for more ways to make more profits without having to spend as much.  I don't know I guess with me I have been trying to quit for over a year now and everytime I would quit something would spark my interest again or a friend would come along saying you really need to join up in my fed and I would come back.  I haven't enjoyed my rps in a long time and I have lost the urge to really write like I once could so maybe this is my sign to finally quit..lol.  I'm not really impressed with Multiply and nothing will probably ever really feel the same as these groups do now because a lot of us have been in them forever.  I hate to see it go but in the long run I don't imagine I will miss it as much as some of you will.  I'm turning thirty one in a couple weeks and I think after the groups close down for good it'll be time to find something else to waste my time doing...It has been fun though.

I'm not impressed with Multiply either .. but as I told Roxy .. they are saying that Multiply will be their "migration" site.  In layman's terms Multiply will be used to take out stuff from MSN Groups .. and maintain the history until they can get Windows Live Groups up then we will (at least it's my understanding) be able to move from Multiply to Windows Live Groups.  What will Windows Live Groups look like?  Who knows .. we can only hope it's more compatible than Multiply with what we are accustomed to.

Windows Live Groups is an upcoming service by Microsoft as part of its Windows Live range of services that enable users to create their social groups for sharing, discussion and coordination.

The service will allow users form their own community groups, similar to the way Facebook Groups function, allowing members of the group to participate in group discussions. In addition, Windows Live Groups integrates with the following Windows Live services to provide collaboration and sharing features:

  • Windows Live provides a group calendar function which allows all members of the Group to add or keep track of calendar events for their Group
  • Windows Live Messenger allow users to create Groups (not to be confused with "categories" in Messenger) in their contact list and start conversations with these Groups
  • Windows Live SkyDrive provides members of the Group to upload and share their files and documents for others in the Group to download
  • Windows Live Photos allow members of the Group to upload and share their photos with each other
  • Windows Live Hotmail provides users to send mass group e-mail messages to all members of a particular Group they are part of

Windows Live Groups is expected to be released on November 17, 2008 and will be replacing MSN Groups on February 21, 2009.[

back in the day....

yahoo clubs was pretty much like the current msn groups untill they (yahoo) switched to a new 9current)format like msn is about to do...and everyone from yahoo (then) came over here to msn...

so i think most will probally go back to yahoo or go and find/to another site which has the similar formats of the former yahoo clubs and current msn groups...either way whatever u do send me the links

Well msn always could not fix the problems they had with msn groups so they figure upgrading will get rid of it, Anyways, i have found a site or two that seem to be worth looking at. The fourms I found allowed me to post layouts easily.

www.activeboards.com

www.freedomain.co.nr (can make your own page or something)

I already got an account on activeboards and I suggest checking out other links on the web before deciding on what to do.
