Moment of Silence comes on the air with the BUD logo and we go inside the arena where Phoebe Justice is walking through the halls by the back door where the wrestlers come into the arena and the words �?0 minutes ago�?appear a the bottom of the screen. The doors open and Dante Cross comes walking in with Nikki Black at his side. Phoebe storms over and gets in Dante’s face Phoebe: “Dante, I don’t care who you are but what you did with Harmony’s grave was disgusting and you should be ashamed of yourself!�?/EM> Without hesitation, Nikki steps forward and bitch slaps the hell out of Phoebe, knocking her down and Dante breaks up laughing Dante: “Oh, that was great! Listen retard, do you believe everything you see on TV? Do you actually think I would have done something like that to my boss?�?/FONT> Phoebe is still on the ground, looking up at Dante, holding her cheek “You mean .. you mean you didn’t do it?�?/FONT> Dante: “Of course I didn’t do it! Not that I wouldn’t per say, but that’s a lot of fuckn�?work tracking down a grave that’s a family secret and then getting the camera crew there without anyone from BUD knowing what was going on? It was a fake out, I told you all, I’m the modern day master of mind games and would do anything to fuck with Roxy’s head and I did. But don’t think for a second that I didn’t mean every word I spoke and every idea I presented. I just threw in some creative and convincing props to add some impact to the promos. Now, I have a match to get ready for�?/FONT> They both walk and this fades out and into a video package of the history between Taylor Lynn and Syck, what happened at the last pay per view when Syck had her roughed up and the match didn’t happen. Then it goes to clips of some of Syck’s Japanese Death Matches and the brutality involved. This fades out and into a graphic of the BUD-Vision Championship and then flash scenes of the 8 participants hitting their finishing moves; Leaky Format, Ricky Carter, Bobby Johnson, Jake Frost, Syck, Matlock, Pitfall and Akmed. We then see some of the interaction between Syck and Bobby Johnson on the THC board and this ends with Syck hitting on brainbuster DDT on Image and saying “Just like Bobby’s career .. overrated�?/FONT> Next video package starts with Dante choking out Brian at MOD last month and winning the BUD HeavyWeight title. Then Roxy coming out at the 9/11 supershow and telling Dante she was taking her shot at the Title at Moment of Silence. Then we see Dante shaking her hand and saying “from this point on, the fact that we’re friends .. doesn’t matter any more�?/FONT> Then we see a clip from that promo he cut in the graveyard and how in bad taste it was. and then the letters “TLC�?flashing across the screen The New Orleans fans are cheering like crazy for Moment of Silence and we do the obligatory crowd sweep and see some of the better signs in the crowd “Roxy Approved!�?“The Question remains?�?“Asshole = Ratings�?/FONT> “Genna, will you marry me?�?and finally “Blame Canada�?/EM> We go the announce table and BUD’s pay per view announcers Meadow Soprano and Mark Hellion are starting the show Meadow Soprano (MS): “Welcome to Moment of Silence and tonight we will crown a new BUD-Vision Champion and Dante Cross defends his BUD HeavyWeight Championship for the first time and it’s against the owner of this company, the queen herself, Foxy Roxy! Also ..�?/EM> Mark Hellion (MH): “Hold up a second there Meadow, you’ve gone two whole seconds with mentioning that ma boy Wall$treet has entered been in contact with BUD management�?/EM> MS: “What?�?/EM> MH: “Now you can continue ..�?/EM> MS: “You’re going to be annoying again tonight aren’t you?�?/EM> MH: “That’s what they pay me for. Also on the card are a pair of IC Cup matches and also a pair of tag team tournament matches too, Enough talking, let’s go to the ring!�?/EM> Match #1: Delhi vs Genna vs Image Johnson vs Katherine Kaine vs Cassidy
Summary: A 5 way elimination match to open the card and the fans loved it. Delhi was the first to go as Image and Katherine hit her with a double powerbomb and Image gets the 3 count. Image immediately attacks Katherine and starts kicking her ass while Genna and Cassidy are tearing into each other. Image suddenly hits the ‘Mirror Image�?(superkick) and gets the 3 count on Kaine! Image comes over and starts helping Genna beat on the Cassidy and the two start working together for a little while. Cassidy fights them off though and knocks Image out of the ring and went after Genna but Genna knocks her off the ropes with a standing dropkick and then follows it up going for a split-legged moonsault but Cassidy gets her knees up and Genna hits them hard. Cassidy stomps the hell out of Genna but as hse picks her up by the hair, Genna suddenly kicks her in the gut and his her Pedigree and coves her for the 3 count! Image was watching this and rolls in the ring and clotheslines Genna. They fight back and forth, Genna giving Image a good fight but After Image hits the �? Piece�?she sets up for the ‘Mirror Image again and nails it and covers Genna for the 3 count! MS: “That’s it! Image is the #2 contender and Genna is #3! What a great match!�?/EM> MH: “Ok, that was pretty good .. GOD, Genna is cute!�?/EM> Match #2: Alexis and Alex vs Matlock and Drew Stevenson
Summary: Weird match, but give it up for the two men that are going to the second round, Mattio and Drewigi .. or whatever you two are calling yourselves .. Seemed more a clip from Super Smash Bros. then wrestling .. anyways, Matlock and Drew win The scene opens outside the Superdome, Nikki is walking across the parking lot towards the camera. Dressed in her favorite faded low riding blue jeans, the knees of her jeans slightly torn, and a Dante Cross Heavyweight Champion tank top, she smiles and tucks a lose strand of hair behind her ears. "Here we are in the city of New Orleans, a place that saw a terribly natural distaster just over a year ago. While parts of this city have seen some astonishing rebuilding, there are parts of this city that look the way they did a year ago. It's really a very sad image. But you wanna know what's even more sad, the way the people of New Orleans handled the disaster. You may be wondering what I'm talking about, sure there were those people who deserve a heroric nod, but let's talk about the common citizen of New Orleans. If you look at 9/11 aftermath in New York, or the Oklahoma City Bombing, or even the earthquake that hit Oakland in '89 what do you find? You find the citizen of those cities coming together helping their fellow man. Now take a look at what happened right here at this place. We find the citizen of New Orleans reacted in a less than heroric way, no we find the citizens stole from their neighbors, they turned their back on those in need, some even going as far as to rape and kill others in the very same situation. And to think BUD management felt it would be good for us to come to this place" Nikki shakes her head "But I suppose we should take a look at just what "type" of people we're talking about. People who are of the same race as my opponent Taio, as they like to call themselves .. "PEOPLE OF COLOR". "Now, I admit that I am not the most pregidise person, there are a few realities when it comes to that particular race. They all feel that the "white's" owe them from their days of slavery. They feel the government owe's them because they are a "minority". Hell, these people breed faster than rabbits, minority my ass. I think the government needs to do a reassessment of their definition of minorities. I am a Native American, and if any "race" has reason to be upset over the way they were treated it's my people. Which if you will entertain me a moment, I want to make a comment to the people and fans of BUD about my recent "betrayal" of Team Midwest. You see, it occured to me that as a Native American, my country really hasn't done right by my people, they came from places far away, and took the land that WE lived on for their own. So, in retrospect I asked myself, why should I support a country that doesn't support me. Unlike the people of "color" who like to sit on their fat asses and whine about all the wrong the white's have done to them, some of my people chose to rebel and fight the government, kill as many of them as we could. While other's went quietly many dying along the way as the government moved them to a land far away. Now, I know that Taio isn't from the Big Easy, but just like his kind, he certainly hasn't show much initiate in this match. Sure, this is my first promo, but ya' know what I considered not doing anything, then I thought, why pass up a chance to rip on the people of New Orleans as well as my LAZY opponent." Summary: The Kentucky street fight was brutal and they both got arrested .. opps, should have cleared that first I guess Match #5: NaTo vs Amazin�?BR>Summary: Decent match but less then these two are able to perform. End came when Amazin�?hit a superplex off the top and through a table .. picking up 2 points for his team! *Syck and Taylor Lynn had a deadline extension until Tuesday night* MH: “Whoooohooooo, here we go with the BUD-Vision tournament! Summary: Damn good match actually and the crowd was showing Bobby the hometown boy tons of love but Leaky showed that he came ready to fight and this match spilled to the outside a few times and both men got threatened with DQ before it went back to the ring and Leaky got the roll up on Bobby, very obviously using the ropes to get the 3 count
Winner: Leaky 2nd round �?Syck vs Akmed
Summary: Atone time manager and pupil now enemies across the ring. Akmed for his credit put up a good fight against Syck but Syck used every dirty trick in the book to gain the victory over Akmed to go to the finals
Winner: Syck BUD-Vision Finals: Syck versus Leaky MH: “This is money right here. Two of the most hated men here today in BUD today, one of them will walk out the BUD-Vision Champion tonight. This is Syck’s FOURTH match tonight, how insane is that?�?/EM> Summary: Starts out a pure brawl with both men punching the hell out of each other, both tired. They take it to the outside and the ref pretty much lets them go, trying remind them they should be in the ring. Syck is bleeding again early due to his previous 3 matches, including the first one, the Japanese Death match with Taylor Lynn. But somehow he digs deep and hits ‘The Syckness�?on Leaky on the outside. He takes Leaky back to the ring but Leaky fights back into it and nails the�?whirlpool�?on Syck, laying him out. Leaky gets a two count but that’s all. Leaky goes for the wetdown but is blocked and Syck hits the ‘Old School Crew�?on Leaky and falls on top of him exhausted and the ref counts 1-2-3! MS: “I can’t beliee the Asshole won it .. I thought he was retired?�?/EM> MH: “WHOOHOO! Cash money! I had bet Syck to win!�?/EM> MS: “Uh, you can’t talk about gambling on TV�?/FONT> MH: “I have enough money not to care!�? "Bodies" hits and Stephanie McMahon-Margera storms out onto the stage, barely giving her music a chance to get going. The look on her face is priceless and the majority of BUD's fans can guess exactly what has the Billion Dollas Princess all riled up. She signals for the tech guys to cut her music, then launches right in, clutching a clipboard tightly in her hand.
SMM: This little message I have is for everyone working for BUD right now, from those of you at the top, right down to the men and women we have working dark matches at the moment so you all better listen and you better listen good. Let me make one thing very, very clear to all of you. BUD is all about competition. Roxy and I did not get where we are by granting favors to those we like and dumping on those we don't. There are plenty of people in the back right now who I can not even stand the sight of. And yet, some of them are title holders. Some of them are among BUD's greatest wrestlers and biggest draws. Case in point, RuCKuS. I loathe that man. I despise him, I can not stand him. We've never gotten along at any point in our careers, but he is still employed by this company and still earns and holds titles when he is active, just as everyone else is given the opportunity to do so. Does this situation sound like it could even exist if we made our living playing favorites? I've never done that and I never will, that's not how I run this company and I will not compromise that.
Let me enlighten all of you as to the situation that presented itself a few days ago. It seems that a certain wrestler by the name of Brian Juneau has decided he will only fight people HE chooses. Excuse me? Sorry son, that's not the way it works. When you are booked and able to compete, you compete against whoever we tell you to compete against, or you compete against whoever your specific situation dictates, against whoever would make the most sense. What a great match we had lined up, Brian Juneau defending his Franchise title against the son of the man he won the belt off of not long ago - the man who's name he certainly enjoyed dropping every other word in his fight against Dante for the BUD Heavy Weight Championship. Sadly, it was not to be. A lot of the fans were disappointed to learn that the highly anticipated match-up between Brian Juneau and Mat Collins would not be taking place tonight, and I don't blame you one bit for being upset. I too found myself to be very annoyed over the fact that a wrestler in BUD became so full of himself, put himself on such a high pedastil, that he thought he could pick and choose his matches. Not the case. Who refuses to defend their title? Who refuses to put their money where their mouth is, and prove to everyone they truly deserve that title? Obviously not Brian Juneau. You see, it appears to me Brian believes that, since he is a champion here in BUD, he can do whatever he wants. No. Not while I am around, and not while I have the power to do anything about it. Brian, I can make your life a living hell, and believe me, I will. You're not untouchable, simply because you hold BUD gold - in fact, that makes you a bigger target. People want to fight you because you have something they want, and if you can not handle that responsibility, then you do not deserve to be a BUD champion. I have no problem taking titles away from people who are not willing to defend them at every turn. If you are booked for a match and then see who your opponant is and want to back out because of that, sorry, not going to happen. If you think you're going to hold on to your title defending it against wrestlers who you know can not beat you, you are not worthy. In my eyes and the eyes of several people in this company Brian Juneau, you are no longer worthy and believe me when I say your days as Franchise Champion are numbered!"
On the tail end of Stephanie's threat, "Bodies" hits again and she throws the mic down in disgust, sneering at the camera. She heads backstage for the moment, disappearing behind the heavy black curtain... |
