- Main Event - Seifer (c) vs. Justin Black vs. Taylor Lynn vs. Leaky Format 4-Way DeathMatch Bout BUD Heavyweight Championship Stip: Elimination WINNER: JUSTIN BLACK 1. Winner: Justin Black Leaky- valid and solid attempt at trying to keep up, and i think you gained respect of many people by at least giving it a solid shot and giving it your all... which is very commendable, however, in all honesty, i think we all knew you were way out of your league in regards to detail and overall skill. i think your appearance in roleplays can be improved dramatically just by color coding what you say.. everything in plain blue on straight black is not only an eye sore if read for a long period of time.. but makes it harder to seperate actions from descriptions. On a positive note, your descriptions and overall grammar did improve in this thread i believe, the storyline to it was original and after reading through it i enjoyed it and believed you would have beaten quite a number of people with this piece, just not the people you were facing for the main event. but good job. Taylor- great effort, overall good job, not your best i have seen, but still very good. tables and banners were nicely used along with character pictures, however.. the changing of fonts between roleplays with style and sizes made it a little less clean-cut.. not that that has to do anything with the roleplay in regards to quality, just something you should look at in the future. i really enjoyed the overall story throughout the thread, it was readable and easy to go through. i would advise you however to lay off the personal attacks, saying someone is a slut or a dirtbag or whatever name you use to call people at any given moment doesn't prove to the audience that you're the better wrestler.. understand? Don't get me wrong, it's all good that you use it, just.. tone it down? okay? you opened up your posts very well, loved the attention to detail and how you made words that stood out for your actions with different sizes and colors really made the effect stand out louder. the lucifer thing.. a little out-played and cheesey.. i also believe you could have evened out the direction of whom you were talking to a lot better, i think most of it was directed towards seifer.. and if in a match if you spend all your time beating one opponent, it leaves the other two able to strike.. but i like the dialogue overall, and it was good for the story. overall the dialogue throughout the thread was well done, and well written, but i don't think it was enough to get the win this time. Seifer- without stating the obvious, another great roleplay thread for another main event under your belt. appearance, quality, description throughout the entire piece was.. as always with you, good. your story with the wall of immortality was very well played, and the dialogue used against your opponents was worthy of a world champion main event. there was, however, so much of it, that it gets to the point where it is tiring to read, no hooks to keep the reader interested.. i hate to use the term, but fluff, if you will.. repeating yourself on multipel threads can get to the point where a reader is overall impressed with your work just because it's.. your work.. and valid, it is good, but all they really have to read of it is the first few posts and then move on to another thing because you've basically said all that you need to or they get the overall idea with just that... it's sort of a bore and hard to stick through, i'm not saying that you repeat yourself throughout, but you do often and people will just skip through it and miss some parts later on in the thread that are still just as good, if not, better and more original and humorous.. i personally read it.. and it still was a fantastic piece, fantastic work, fantastic dialogue, fantastic use against your characters, it was another typical seifer thread for a ppv. there's no shame in this piece. Justin Black- I believe you really tried and put some great effort into all your work for this ppv and it clearly shows. i think you best said it yourself, 'im the most determined to win'. you were the first to roleplay, that speaks a lot about a match... especailly against 3 other competitors who could have started the ball rolling for their opponents, but you were the one to do it. I think the fact that you were slightly underrated by the other competitors turning this into a "taylor lynn-vs-seifer" match really helped your character, it shows that the focus was on them and it gave you the chance to really shine yourself and show that they're not the only powerhouses in this match-up and you followed through perfectly. You were the only one to spread out posts into different threads, which is a good thing, it shows your not just spitting it all into one bucket and you're trying new and different things, this is a good quality for a champion roleplayer. you had different ideas for different roleplays and still got your point across.. overall it was a good performance on the multiple posts you have made. The table bar with the "ooc message, next match, etc" gets a little irritating.. but i don't think it takes away from the work.. it was still color coded and seperated and kept it simliar in appearance and that works well. I think the way you posted things worked very well, an opener, a second one to rebuttle statements made, a story-driven thread, another rebuttle to statements, and a closer. very smartly played and placed whether it was intentional or not. the king post was creative and well done, it helped drive you to a higher plateau and helped the match a lot. as did the fruition thread, it seemed very much like san andreas to me in the opening.. and that made me a bit weary and sucked the originality factor right out of it.. but it wasnt exactly like it and i think it helped build on the story of the man behind the wrestler and his background, and that helps a lot when trying to become a champion roleplayer... i could go more on this and your work, but i think i've done enough.. you just had a lot to work on and i think overall you should be very proud of yourself whether you win or lose.. and you're a force to be reconned with. 2. I actually expected this match to be a total runaway, but all four stepped to the plate. Taylor was there, but she just didnt have that usual "smack in your face" attitude...Leaky I hate to say it,but you did at least keep me reading your rps instead of just ignoring them, I just didnt understand where you were going with things, made it hard for me to keep reading. ..Seifer started out great as usual, and then he went into some Stargate mixed with Bill and Ted's excellent adventure and really had me off track..Justin Black really came to life in the main event, I was suprised at the time he put into the match and it did come down to him and Seifer for the win. I know the wave of the future in efeds it the fantasy rps and I know I am getting passed by,but I just enjoy when cutting apart your opponent was the main point of match posting... I may be in the minority on this one..I think JUSTIN BLACK edged it out. 3. I can't type a discussion right now .. my eyes are bleeding. Seriously, Leaky gave it the old college try, but in the end he is no where near the level of talent the other 3 contestants are. I will give him props for going out there and not backing out. Good Job Leaky! Taylor, you worked you way through the ranks to get to this spot. And you rawked at it girl. But I do think you need to break out of the mold of insulting your opponents some and try to add some variety into your rps. I love the aggressive bitch Taylor is ... don't change that .. just have her do something in addition to the name calling. Justin Black & Seifer ... DAMN YOU BOTH for making my eyes hurt this bad. You both took this match beyond anything I had expected. Blow for Blow, creative ideas for creative idea. If my eyes hadn't been so worn out I would have gone back and reread your rp's as they had been intended back and forth instead of thread by thread. Justin, first off, man you kicked ass! Intense rp's, nice use of characters, you did a incredible job of staying on track for the most part, in focus with Seifer, while never forgeting the other participants. If there is a weakness, in my opinion it has to be when you went into details about your past accomplishments. It was great history, and a great way to set the character, but I think your time might have been better spent going over an opponents history and destroying the credibility ... But what do I know ... I'm just a judge! Even though Seifer didn't post until Friday, he hit the ground running full throttle, and never once deviated nor did he slow down. Every one of his RP in my opinion were solid. I would comment on the unbelievableness of his PORTAL, but this is BUD where people come back to life everyday. Now, me and my bottle of visine are going to find a nice quiet dark corner somewhere and share some intimate time alone. - Match 10 - The Originators (OBM, Ryan Frost & Fyre) vs. The Pastry Parade (Sean Hunter, The Pie, Andrew Underwood) War Games Bout Stips: WINNER: THE PASTRY PARADE 1. WOW! WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED!!?!? I thought I was watching Serpent & James vs Seifer & Dante again! The O came out talking hella shit only to do what Hunter, Andrew and The Pie predicted: Allow Fyre to carry them. Although she did a superb job, it's a shame that The O didn't hold up their end of the bargain. I call BREACH OF CONTRACT and I think that Fyre vs OBM should be happening in the near future for leaving her out there hi and dri. OBie posted a few good ones, but Ryan should have really pulled his weight. Had he done so, I'm sure that the match would have been hard to call. The Pastry Parade really demolished The O. 2. The O tried like hell to keep up with the Parade, but the Parade ran over the O. I felt they were tight in their rp's, each covering the other's. A very well oiled machine. This is not to say the O didn't give them a run, quite the contrary, I feel that as a result of Obie recruiting Fyre, this sent the Parade scrambling. I would love to see a rematch between these two teams again, this has been some of the best 'team' action I've seen in a while. And .. the PIE just cracks me the hell up. 3. I got a kick of THE pie promos and Hunter did a nice job with his promos, but Underwood was just spot on with what he said and his reactions..I will say that The two originators in the match who were supposely fighting for their group really dropped the ball..maybe it was time constraints and I know Frosty was already slated to be L.O.A,but without Fyre kicking it into high gear this match wouldnt even have been a match...Fyre deserves some props for continuing on like she did,but THE PASTRY PARADE was just to much for one person to contend with. - Match 9 - Dante Cross vs. Novacaine Hangman's Drop Stips: 3 RP Limit WINNER: NOVACAINE 1. Dante did an awesome job, his RPs were well written and he made his point abundantly clear, but I think Nova focused a lot more on Dante and what his opinions were. So in my honest opinion I think Nova took this one by the hair of his ass. 2. OK, to be honest this is like a Freakin' World Title Match. You two better come back Full-Time and give the Main Event a shot in the arm. This match proves that you two are BUD Legends. But there must only be one winner. And as good as a match this is, I'd have to give it to NovaCaine. Cross was forced in the Face Roll. He did good, but I think he was uncomfortable. Also, I liked the Poem Nova had in his second post of his First RP. Real Close Match...but Nova takes it 3. Alright, I know want to tell the two of you I have BOTH of you and I hate Roxy for making me judget this match. nova strikes once again with his endless speeches. But, just as last time I don't see it being enough. Dante wins. Plain and simple I found his ideas more inventive and I loved the way he played the angel of him having to die because he killed nova. nova though had some great ideas and found them both to do a great job, but Dante. There was just this intagible about his rps that won me over. Both me did a great job, but Dante Cross wins the match. - Match 8 - Frantic vs Valek MOD Round 2 Bout Stips: 5 r/p Limit WINNER: VALEK 1. The match never seemed to really get itself over ...I don't if its another timing deal, but what I expect to be a solid match wasnt really there..From what I did read it was clear to me ..VALEK wins. 2. Both participants did excellent jobs. I believe Frantic did some of the best rp's I've seen out of him in a while. But I also think Frantic spent too much time going over the past history with him and Valek and argued his point until I was uninterested. Valek, I continue to be amazed at what he can pull out, even when he's pressed for time. The depth of his rp's, his use of characters drew me in and left me wanting more. 3. Close battle. Both men put out a lot of effort and proved to be quite the rping "partners" each countering each other very well, but in the end Frantic gets my vote, now this may be a bit contraversial. But, as I see it Frantic was more direct in his approach and got to me. And, he stayed on the match. Yes, Valek did the same, but I just see Frantic edging him out BARELY. Frantic wins by a hair. - Match 7 - Vortex vs. Dark Child Blast from the Past - Barbed-wire Cage Bout Stips: N/A WINNER: VORTEX 1. You both did a good job, DC I think you could have done better seeing that you two have history. Vortex, you surprised me cause I actually enjoyed reading your RPs this time around.very well written and filled with detailed. Please make your font a #2 and we'll be in business. I think that Vortex' quality, presentation and skill ouot weight DC in this match. 2. Both participants can talk some shit on each other. The two DC rp's were probably some of the longest one's I've seen out of him. But I'm going to have to give this one to VorTex simply because he seemed to want it more and was a little creative in his rp's than DC. 3. Tough match to call in a way..I mean seeing as neither guy really put out what I think they both could put out ...D.C I guess should stay retired or maybe get a job running the concession stand,he just isnt gonna put out an effort. I hadn't read much of the other guy's stuff until the pay per view. He got the win ,but I do think he could have put more into it..VORTEX wins. - Match 6 - Korey Karnage vs. Matt Matlock Barbed-wire Bout Stips: N/A - MATCH POSTPONED - - Match 5 - Snake Eyes (c) vs. Nikki Black Bytch Championship Bout Stips: N/A WINNER: SNAKE EYES 1. Nikki seemed focused and she shows that she really wanted the win, but I think in the end Snake Eyes gave Nikki one helluva run for her money and stayed focused on the task at hand. I am pleased with the improvement I see in Snake Eyes character and I hope it continues. 2. I really enjoyed this match and was glad to see Nikki step up after losing a close one last month...Snake eyes just overwhelms you with postings, and one of hers I read just seemed to be predictions for matches,She has talent, but I don't think she was really focused on this match..The title returns home in my book..NIKKI WINS! 3. I don't believe this was Nikki's best work. Snake Eyes needs to learn how to use color in her RPs and bump up the font to #2. Snake Eyes has potential, but her thoughts wander which make her RPs wander. Who's Jeremy? :S Anyway...she needs to stay focused, have her RPs flow better and improve her overall appearance. Nikki, though didn't come out with her best and I wish I could DQ both of them. I will give this win to Snake Eyes, I seen a major improvement in her performance, she needs to heed my advice...by the time I was done reading her RPs, I had the biggest headache. - Match 4 - Akasha vs. Rebecca Rancid Bytch Contendership Bout Stips: N/A WINNER: REBECCA RANCID Akasha pulled out of the match after the card deadline due to incidents beyond her control. - Match 3 - Akmed vs. Krrypt Regular Bout Stips: N/A WINNER: AKMED Krrypt failed to RP. - Match 2 - Rosaura Jovanni vs. Zoe Carlson Regular Bout Stips: N/A WINNER: ROSAURA JOVANNI 1. It's unfortunate that Zoe went on LOA. I would have loved to see these two get into a headed match. I was also disappointed that Rosaura didn't post another rp to her thread. But given all that, I will say that Rosaura did put more into her one post than Zoe did hers. 2. I loved the way Rosaura's RP flowed, the way she used her words, very well written and a great job! I would like to have seen them go at since I haven't been able to to see what either of these girls are made of...so I hope in the future, they pull the claws out. 3. Wasnt really impressed by either of these ladies, but I like ROSAURA promo a little better. I might add that at a pay per view you should put out your best effort or respectively decline the match..Seems like alot of people no showed or just didnt care. - Match 1 - T-Money vs. Joe Rude vs Nick Slade Regular Bout Stips: N/A WINNER: NICK SLADE 1. Unfortunately T-Money was unable to show. I think Rude did a nice job with his two rp's, but Slade, while he is new to our way of rping, and has a lot to learn, I think he showed us that he really wanted to walk away with the win. My advise to Slade would be to spend some time and read some of the veterans rp's, see how we do it, go into more detail. Oh, the font change was really appreciated. 2. T-money didnt show which seems to be a habit now ,but the other two did put in a effort...Slade wins,...I will add that Joe was getting me interested then seemed to lose interest in rping...Slade you need to go a bit more detailed and work on the character developement. 3. It was a shame that T-Money missed a PPV match, but it gave Joe Rude and Nick Slade ample time to compete against each other. Nick really surprised me with his performance. Though Rude's RP was very will written, Nick proved to be more dedicated to the match by his extra participation. His RPs, too, were well written and I liked the way he uses simple methods to bring the reader into the scene. Though, that might not be the same case when he faces the likes of Sean Hunter or Frantic, that will be when he will need to put more into detail, description, and feeling. |
