BUDMANIA, BIRDLESS.
Story by: John Swede

Watching BUDMANIA? Sure you are, millions are, perhaps billions. The event is the 2nd most important PPV of the year and the card is sure to knock true wrestling fans out of their seats. You’ll notice however that a name is missing from the card, a name that has been missing for 4 years in a row. The name missing is that of BUD legend Sparrow.

It seems tragic that Sparrow’s name is missing from the card especially with his most recent success in BUD. He’s actually gone 4 and 1 since returning to the Domain. Having beaten big names like Jake Frost, Seifer, and our current BUD champion Drew Stevenson, Sparrow seemed like an obvious name to go onto the BUDMania card. Especially with his most recent win on the 400th show.

BUD management wanted to have him on the card too. Why was he missing though? Why won’t he even bother to show up at the rumble? Well many people may not know this but Sparrow has actually been banned from The Magic Kingdom. When Foxy Roxy made the deal with the Disney Company to hold the event in “The Happiest Place on Earth?they made it clear that Sparrow was not to enter the park. This leaves one question, why?

We contacted the Disney Company and they only had the following to say.

“In January Sparrow was here at the park. He was not here for any special event he had come on his own accord to experience the magic like millions do every year. It would have been a typical visit had Sparrow acted like an adult. However by the end of his visit Sparrow would have beaten up several of our characters including Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Buzz Lightyear, and several of the 7 Dwarfs. Sadly the chaos didn’t end there as he caused a small riot at the annual Disney Parade. It was due to this that Disney issued Sparrow a lifetime ban from the park.?/EM>

This of course shocked everyone in BUD because Sparrow would have been a shoe in for one of the main event style matches that made up the card. Especially since he’s a crowd favorite and sells ton of merchandise for the company. This would have been his first performance at BUDMANIA in 4 years and many of the fans were disappointed to see his name left off the card. We contacted Sparrow to see what he had to say about this.

“Being left of the card sucks. It does. It sucks hard, Leaky Format hard. By the way why isn’t he FIRED YET? Seriously though, fire him. It sucks to be left off the card though; I think I’ve made it clear. This is the first year I’ve actually wanted to be in BUDMania and I was left off.?/DIV>

Sparrow went on to say. “Disney really ruined this for several fans. Sure I beat up a buncha mascots, but that was like what 3 months ago? Besides they had it coming. I mean come on get over it. Lifetime ban, who wants to go to their park anyways? Universal is way cooler. So I guess that leaves one question? What will I be doing during BUDMania? Well I can’t be backstage and I’m not paying 50 bucks for BUDMania?so I guess I’ll just hang out some with Rebecca Rancid.?/DIV>

With that said we are left to wonder what BUDmania would have been like with Sparrow on the card. We can only hope that whatever Sparrow chooses to do with Rebecca during BUDMania is as enjoyable for him as it would have been for the fans should he actually been allowed on the card.
