No Sane For Brisbane...

After Monday Night Hangover June 2nd '08.

Earlier this day the advertised card for the Monday Night Hangover show in Brisbane, Australia had one major alteration made. The removal of the BUD Heavyweight Champion Kevin Sane from it. The reasons for this are obvious... There had been a threat that he might not be able to make the show thanks to a savage assault by the BUD Heavyweight title number one contender and former champion Drew Stevenson. With an assault that was practically criminal�?Drew had seriously injured Kevin internally. The constant shots of the hammer to Kevin’s sternum seem to take the effect that Drew had hoped. For fear of a stomach rupture doctors and medical personnel refused to allow Kevin entry in the Tag Team Title match this Monday. Kevin was reported as becoming extremely angry with the decision and was shouting at doctors and EMTs for denying him this major opportunity also feeling it was majorly unfair to his partner as well. Wednesday afternoon when Kevin had gone in for his check up to see if he was in any shape to compete doctors said that a bruise had formed just below Kevin’s rib cage which is labeled the “breadbasket�? In professional fighting it’s a key target to hit an opponent to wind them swiftly. They feared for Kevin’s breathing for the simple fact that the majority of the shots were right in the “breadbasket�? They put him on breath treatments and exercises as a precaution until the end of the week. Drew’s new attitude and persona is without a doubt more sadistic as ever. Drew knew exactly what he was doing. Kevin had a statement about the situation when asked to give a word regarding it.

And yet�?here he is going against his own teachings and he even tried to take me out. But�?As much as being denied my shot at the tag team titles is frustrating�?Nothing could have compared to me being forced to give up my BUD Heavyweight title. Drew tried to pry the title from my cold dead hands�?The only problem with that is�?These hands aren’t cold or dead. And it’s going to take more than some ‘Bob The Builder�?sledgehammer to take me out. My stomach is killing me. I wanted to go in this match this week so I can get my ‘retribution�? But I couldn’t. And when asked am I pressing charges of assault�?I laughed. I told them that come Rage and Retribution he will receive the sentence he deserves from me personally. All Drew is showing me is what I need to expect from him. If Drew knows anything gat all about me�?I fight fire with fire. He’ll understand very well what I mean later.�?FONT size=2>

It is reported that Kevin is doing everything humanly possible to return to the ring so he can compete like he loves to do. This week is killing him worse than his abdomen not being at this BUD event like he was supposed to. Let’s hope Drew doesn’t cause a riot because of what he did to Kevin. Basically screwing him out of his tag team title opportunity.
