When I look at Barack Obama, there are some things about him that I not know and cannot find out. When I look at John McCain, his life is an open book. He fought for this country so that I have the right write this email. What has Obama done for this country? How many days has he spent doing his job since he was elected to his current position? When I read about some of the people who supported him and got him into that position, it scares me. When you lie down with dogs, you will get up with fleas,, and Obama has kept some pretty sorry company in the past. I really don't think it will make any difference who gets elected president. The US is in a downward spiral and it looks like it will not stop until we hit rock bottom like we did in  1920's. All I can say is may God have mercy on our miserable souls. Money has been the god of to many people, and the love of money will probably destroy us. The people we have elected to serve us have not. They have served the party instead. I will not vote for any of the incumbents in Arkansas, except for one, he voted against the bailout, or the rescue plan, as the government prefers it being called.

To gently make a note of your "crime by association" idea.  Jesus himself mingled with and was friends with people that others would NEVER have anything to do with.  Tax collectors, prostiutes, people considered "not of faith" people.  Interesting that we should critisize Obama for the things others have done.  Just because someone you know has done something wrong in their past, should not be an indication that you are the same as they are.  I reject this idea and find it very un- Christian like.
I respect your right to feel this way.  That is your right.

Well written post Kay.  I can't agree any more on this subject.  I have just
returned from voting and now I can only sit here and pray that the 'smoke and mirror' image doesn't work in America.

We have one nominee who already says the power companies will go bankrupt if they build coal-powered generating plants due to EPA regulations.  How insane.  Don't know about the rest of the country but down here, we have only one power company that supplies power to all the homes and businesses.  What happens if they go broke?  Nuclear power?  Hell no, that is against the law.  Again, how insane.  What about the coal miners, or the related industries that provide the coal to the plants?

Just now, on TV, it is reported that Philadelphia has MORE registered voters that adult citizens in that city.  How in the hell can that occur?

In Ohio, a judge has ruled that a PARK BENCH can be a valid address for voting purposes.  I don't know about you, but I have never seen a postman deliver mail to any park bench.  In fact, if you loiter too long around said bench, the police will arrest you for being a vagrant.  But it is OK to use as a valid address for voting purposes.

Mickey mouse has registered as a voter.  Have we lost common sense and any form of decency?  What are we leaving for our kids and grandkids to live in?

We have a candidate who pals around with a known domestic terrorist for decades who also refuses to exhibit a valid birth certificate which is required by our constitution to be a NATURAL citizen to qualify for the presidency.  But those in charge are too busy looking the other way to bother.

John and Jane Doe will do fine.  What my concern is the total lack of leadership for any party to lead this country.  Doubling my concern is John and Janes lack of concern for their children after they have assumed room temperature. We are replacing freedom and independence with lethargy and decadency and it doesn't taste very good.  My one hope is thar "IN GOD WE TRUST".
