Mercy!!!  I heard from a Chicago citizen that we have, in fact, 57 states in the union.

Now today, I've heard from a Chicago preacher that we dropped a nuclear bomb on DECEMBER 7, 1941 on Hiroshima and two days later, another was dropped on Nagasaki.  This was during a sermon preached on DECEMBER 7, 2008.

WHEN I went to school, December 7, 1941 was called Pearl Harbor Day.  The day Imperial Japan attacked our navel fleet in Hawaii.  It also seemed to me that we dropped two atomic bombs, one on 8/6/45 and another on 8/9/45.  We didn't have nuclear fusion back then.

So you citizens of Illinois, please advise me on the proper historical periods pertaining to those events.  I'm also sure the surviving families of Pearl Harbor would be grateful for the correct dates.  Better still, does the state of Illinois even teach geography and/or American History today?

I want to be properly informed on such matters.
