A fact of life.  Obama has to take care of the unions that helped him get to the White House.  It is always strange to me that there is no certification required to teach at college level, but required for public and most private schools.  The NEA has done more to promote liberal clap trap and political correctness than even the media.  I have taught at both high school and college level (history uncertified at high school) and feel public education would be better suited to hire individuals experience in life, rather than some wet behind the ears graduate from our educational trend mill.  My daughter, who is certified (earth science in middle school) has finally begun to agree with me - it has taken about 15 years.
