Country Parks and Woodland

Salcey Forest
Hartwell, Northants.
The Royal Forest of Salcey is a magnificent ancient woodland with excellent walking and an amazing range of wildlife. The forest is a remnant of the medieval royal hunting forest. The 'druids' or veteran oaks in Salcey are rare and amazing wildlife habitats, and some of the oaks are believed to be over 500 years old. There is also the newly opened treetop walk.

Shopping

Milton Keynes Shopping Centre
Milton Keynes

A mecca for all shopaholics! Everything you could possibly want and more under one roof. Next door there is an open air market on most days. Plenty of cafes and restaurants to choose from.

Most of out town people head for MK to do their shopping as our high streets are now virtually devoid of decent shops, being driven out by high rates and poor accessibility with sky high parking rates, when you can find a space. We have a high ratio of vacant shops. Are the council addressing this........nooooooo. Instead they are determined to install costly ' gadget ' attractions, such as a ' heated stone ' seating area for people to sit on in the winter  And with lighting strips on the ground because it ' will look pretty '  watch our rates soar  The towns people DO NOT want any of this but who are we

Towns

Northampton
A great place to go for shopping, eating and drinking! Northampton has two shopping centres, a large open air market, and hundreds of shops, bars and restaurants all within minutes walking distance of car parks. Head for Abington Street, The Grovsnor Centre and Peacock Place for the usual high street shops; or St. Giles Street, Collage Street Mews and the Derngate for smaller more unusual shops, boutiques and foodhalls.

The ' large open market ' has somewhat shrunk and the Lib/Dem's intend to shrink it even more

It was once one of the biggest outdoor markets in the country but the Tories started it's decline and now it will be vertually destroyed bythe Lib/Dems who want to turn it into an entertainment plaza. It had stalls removed a few years ago to make way for the entertainment and to date we have about 3 events. They intend erecting a huge tv screen so we can football etc Councils never listen to the public instead just blaze ahead determined to destroy a once beautiful town.
