I went to see my doctor
Just to get my pills
He gazed across the table
Not mentioning my ills.

Have you smoked,do you smoke
My face went very red
Felling like a criminal
No not now I said.

Would he search my handbg
Find my extra mild
Would he look inside my mouth
Detectingand go wild
Aroma of my few puffs
To see me through the day
In my dreams I hear him
He makes me go quite grey.

His face it never leaves me
Even sat at home
In comes my dear doctor
Oh not now  moan.

Quietly writing letters,ciggy burning bright
I push him in the front room
Then dash to douse my light
I must hide the ash tray
I'll put it by my shoes
Come this way now doctor
These sodding smoking blues.

Was he fooled,not one bit
Departing fro my home
Who's been smoking here he says?
My mouth dried up like foam.
A friend called in,I say with speed
Her smoke is what you smell
If he doesnt like it
Then just say ,Oh Well.
