The Owl Is I
On the other side of that barn door,
The evening awaits for ever more.
An owl will launch itself in the air,
With that agile mastery, that flowing air.
The moon will light its lonelyway,
So the owl can hunt and search its prey.
Over the fields, this creature will fly,
Into the night and oh so high.
Until this animal gets what it wants,
It will continue to hunt and even flaunt.
But the agile owl is oh so nigh,
Appears tonight ... because it is I.
