We don't pay a TV licence any more in Australia.  Good job, because the programmes are ****
The only good ones I like are usually BBC plays or series.   Stuff like "Big Brother" and other reality shows are a disgrace.

I'm comfortable with the idea of paying a 'receiving' license for the set, but not it all going to the Beeb - and not its being so extortionate - its a bit like road tax for cars, why can't it be added to petrol so that people who use the roads most pay the most?

I DON'T AGREE WITH TELEVISION LICENCES, AS WE GET SO MUCH REPEATED ON HERE ALL THE TIME.IF THE BBC WAS TO PUT ADVERTS ON THEIR CHANNEL THEN IT WOULD BE SCRAPED .
AND AS A CAR DRIVER BARB I THINK WE PAY ENOUGH FOR OUR FUEL WITHOUT ANYMORE BEING PUT ON.THE GOVERMENT GETS ENOUGH TAX WITHOUT PUTTING ANYMORE ON. PLUS IF THATS THE ONLY ENJOYMENT WE HAVE , WHY ADD MORE TO IT . ROSE
