I have to say it, how good are our policemen?
Give them a motorist and they throw the book at them for the slightest error, however give them something like the 5 prostitute murders and they are hopeless. What have they thrown at it? 500 policemen, 14 days of enquiries and still they are no further foreward than the first day.
 
It appears on the surface that they are only trained to catch motorists,  and anything else goes by the board.  Ok its only my opinion but it does make one wonder why anyone has any faith in them.

MAKES YOU WONDER DONT IT  We had a burglary  locally  where a 93 yr old woman died of a heart attack as a result of it the police foind the DNA of a man at the house they arrested him and questioned him for 8 hrs before finding out he had worked there 22 yrs ago. not safe to go into anyones house is it .

My god when you think of all the houses you go into over a year never mind 22 years! But i.m in favour of dna being taken at birth at least people could be arrested after one crime and like the career criminal they would soon be serving time!
      As for those people that cry against civil liberties what have they got to hide, after all during the war we all had identity papers.

I'ME ALL FOR DNA BEING TAKEN FROM BIRTH AS IT WILL SAVE A LOT OF TIME AND MAYBE MONEY IN THE LONG RUN.THERE ARE SO MANY PEOPLE IN THIS COUNTRY NOW AND WHERE DO THEY START, SO TAKEN FROM BIRTH IN THE WORLD WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA . ROSE

I am told the government is to issue cardboard cutouts of policeperson's
to replace the community police-type persons that are at present perambulating our fair towns because they  finally have realised the cutouts will have just as much power,   I-E none! & the shekels saved will allow them to employ "Real " Policeperson's,
These"Real " police-or police type persons can then visit you when your car has been vandalised to inform you that the cctv you have installed is not legal because you are not displaying a bliddy great sign to advertise the fact!
But as they were in the area to "investigate" a break-in that happened  two weeks previously on the road & they'd kill two birds with one stone & Come & warn the installer of the "illegal" cctv ,
They also had done their job because both break-in & criminal damage had been written about,    And would be written about again & again  Ad infinitum
