Jack Straw is going to evict 600 prison officers so he can use their homes to instal criminals to ease overcrowding in jails. The officers and their families have been told to vacate their homes by May 1 so they can be used to home burglars, thugs and drug dealers. More than 100 of the homes are situated in prime areas of London. The Government was warned over ten years that they needed to build more prisons but ignored that warning and this is the consequence.......jails full to bursting, courts told not to give custodial sentences and the beginnings of a lawless society. We cannot protect ourselves or our property for fear of prosecution. We dare not look at a yob ' the wrong way ' for fear of being stabbed. We are not allowed to chastise our own children let alone asking noisy louts outside our homes to move away. We are rapidly approaching a regime where the criminal element are rewarded and the innocent law-abiding citizen is penalised. What makes this whole situation a farce is that we all are guilty of moaning about it but no-one is standing up and asking questions and demanding things change. Comminities need to come together and fight back.
With you there Gwen to many people about to scared to stand up to yobs on their own and if a few people get together to protect their properties they then get accused of being vigilantis so who are we to turn to the police dont seem to have much clowt when it comes to arresting these yobs because as you say they cant even lock them up.ginge
