Some people say jesus went to get the key to heaven.  My boss recently told me that he went because he went to be at David's right hand quoting Act 2:22 - 30 i'm really confused plz clear this up for me.

blue did it ever occur to you no one wants to be taught by a haughty spirit.  You have nothing to teach  Actually you need to repent of that thing cuz the Word says  God hates a haughty  spirit Did you know pride is a demon ? Works well in religion  but not with the living God  and a truthseeker!  Praise you Jesus!  Worthy are you to be praised.  you are the first and the Last  God almightywe praise you   Jesus tonightPraisae    God !!!!

Jesus said you will know a tree by its fruits. If one posesses the peace of Jesus he will spread that peace around, and peace will be the fruit.
  God bless!

becareful, and know what "peace" you have. a occultist can be at "peace" also, for in death is a "higher level of existance," and yet is "dead and wrong" ('dead-wrong') concering God, and what He has said in the bible.

Ps 119:165 - Great peace have they which love thy law: and
nothing shall offend them.

The Bible also has strong words about not giving offense or  being a stumbling block.
Jesus said "stumbling blocks will come, but woe to the one who delivers it.  Better for him that a millstone be tied around his  neck and be dumped off in the ocean".
  Wow

What do you think the bible considers a stumbling block?

I does not matter to you what I think,  because you already have justified your actions in your mind,  and just want to  banter further.  A bull in a china shop can't see why people are offended either.

I feel the Lord saying something that may be relevant.  He is saying,  "I created the cactus, and the pansy.  It is not for the cactus to say the pansy is too sensitive.  The pansy will not survive where the cactus is designed to live, yet the cactus rots and falls over where the pansy flourishes.  God has  many people designed for different purposes, and to operate in different ways within the Body of Christ.
Let's move on, and do something on this planet for Jesus, what do you say ??

Getting back to the originnal thread, what were the 'keys of heaven' doing in hell?  I seriously would like to know.

well i dont knoe about the "keys to heaven" but the NT refres to the "keys of hell".
rev. 1:17-19
   "And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter;

--with all the mysticism aside basicly after Christ's death, He went to "hell" (hades 'abode of the dead') *(1pet 3:18-20, acts 2:27-31)
--and "left" 'hell' *(abode of the dead) as eph 4:8-10 states. "Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men. He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)
the "leaving captivity captive" thing would be like saying "leving that which 'holds on' 'grasping' " also in similarity when Christ says "the gates of hell will not prevail."
Gates are a defensive structure, and its like saying "hell cant keep us in"

the only "keys of heaven" i found was in matt16:19 "And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven."

but thats speaking of the gospel itself *(whatever it is) as part of the last part of the verse.
