Has any of the older heads in the chat read The Gospel of Judas I came across it in work and began reading and was turned off because of the rubbish that's written.  In the introduction it is stated:   " The Judas Iscariot of the Gospel of Judas is the betrayal of Jesus, but he is simultaneously the hero of the gospel.  He says to Jesus, "I know who you are and where you have come from.  Your are from the immortal realm of Barbelo." (Pg. 3)  On page 20 under THE EARTHLY MINISTRY OF JESUS they that during the Passover He was found among them as a child  as he often did not appear to his disciples as himself.

What really upset me when scanning through the book under SETH AND THE CREATION OF ADAM AND EVE on pg. 157 it is said "The figure of Seth, the third son of Adam and Eve is a significant figure in the Gospel of Judas as he is also called "Christ", as an angelic ruler of the world. The quote Genesis 4-5 saying that it reports that Seth himself has a son, Enoch, and at that time people being to call upon the Lord Yahweh with his holy name.

I haven't read the whole of this book nor have I seen the documentary on this so called Gospel of Judas but i find it disturbing that thoughout this whole book they are quoting the scripture.  I did research on the Gnostic Gospel i understand their beliefs and that they manipulated the Bible to win over believers but The Codex Tchacos and the pictures of Gospel of Judas looks real.

Any thoughts,
God Bless!

as bad as the Davinci Code was, a good thing did come out of its movie, and book was the mass exposing of the gnostic teaching. For a long time it was there, but not prodomently attacked, and exposed by the Christian community. Paul/ John dealt with them in their writings at times, but only after the apostles died, did the gnostics "take off," and why? ther wasnt anyone around to 'refute them,' until the Christian community came together and laid down the fundmentials of the Faith, in the various creeds.

The same with Islam. 600 years after Christ, and His Apostles Muhammad comes around and says "this is how it really happened..." But it wasnt untill 9/11/ 01 until America actually publicy has to now "deal with them."

rom 8:28 "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."
