THE CROSS Of all professing Christians, Seventh-day Adventists should be foremost in uplifting Christ before the world. The proclamation of the Three Angels' Message calls for the presentation of the Sabbath truth. This truth, with others included in the Message, is to be proclaimed; but the great center of attraction, Christ Jesus, must not be left out. It is at the Cross of Christ that mercy and truth meet together, and righteousness and peace kiss each other. The sinner must be led to look to Calvary; with the simple faith of a little child he must trust in the merits of the Saviour, accepting His righteousness, believing in His mercy. {GW 156.2}
The Cross of Calvary challenges, and will finally vanquish every earthly and hellish power. In the Cross all influence centres, and from it all influence goes forth. It is the great centre of attraction; for on it Christ gave up His life for the human race. This sacrifice was offered for the purpose of restoring man to his original perfection. Yea, more, it was offered to give him an entire transformation of character, making him more than a conqueror. Those who in the strength of Christ overcome the great enemy of God and man will occupy a position in the heavenly courts above Angels who have never fallen. {LHU 230.2} Christ declares, "I, if I be lifted up . . . , will draw all men unto me." If the Cross does not find an influence in its favour, it creates an influence. Through generation succeeding generation, the truth for this time is revealed as present truth. Christ on the Cross was the medium whereby mercy and truth met together, and righteousness and peace kissed each other. This is the means that is to move the world. {LHU 230.3}
John 12: 32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.
1Cor. 1: 18 For the preaching of the Cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
Gal. 6: 14 But God forbid that I should glory, save in the Cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.
- John McBride Why has this failed in the world today? After the gospel has been restored and given to the SDA Church they departed from the truth given to them. Against the warnings given not to prepare or go to War to solve the problems of this world they have sinned against the directions and commandments of God. For this reason the power of the gospel was lost and doctrines of devils has taken over and the church start following the doctrines of Babylon. Confusion about the Godhead and who Jesus really was, doctrine of the false Trinity doctrine. and many others. Things concerning about God will only revealed to those who follow Jesus John 14:15-17. All others will walk in darkness. Jack.

Hi Jack I agree with most of, the part of the post you did not write lol Christ should be the primary issue in our preaching, with that, I strongly agree So to use your own study, in a practical way here ?If Christ is the primary issue to be preached , Go and look at all the preaching you have done here in these posts , and tell us what your central focus has been. Have you ever preached Jesus Christ here? Hmmmm God Bless Love-n-Grace |

Jesus told us that if we love Him we will keep His commandments. John 14:15-17.So who is the world keep the commandments of God? If no church does my work is to bring the world to the commandments of God The Elijah message.If the world do God will save the world if not He will destroy the world. Plain and simple. . If the world reject this. all our work will be in vain because no one give prove that they love Jesus. Jack. |

Hi Jack! You said ?/FONT>Things concerning about God will only revealed to those who follow Jesus John 14:15-17. All others will walk in darkness. Jack. I kinda figured you meant you are the only one who understands and we all are in darkness? lol. That commonly is the nature of confusion, delusion and self proclaimed prophets. One thing you do have in common with Elijah is where he said in I Kings 19:10,14& 18...?/FONT>He said, "I have been very zealous for the LORD, the God of hosts; for the sons of Israel have forsaken Your covenant, torn down Your altars and killed Your prophets with the sword. And I alone am left; and they seek my life, to take it away." He like you repeats Himself in verse 14... He said, "I have been very zealous for the LORD, the God of hosts; for the sons of Israel have forsaken Your covenant, torn down Your altars and killed Your prophets with the sword. And I alone am left; and they seek my life, to take it away." But God corrects Elijah in Verse 18 "Yet I will leave 7,000 in Israel, all the knees that have not bowed to Baal and every mouth that has not kissed him What typically happens is people, (even the real Elijah,) get tired sometimes. Get to feeling sorry for themselves. If not checked, this can lead to wounded ness, which if pampered, often turns to delusion. Many of us here in this community Love Jesus with all our hearts Jack, and have applied the Blood of the cross to our lives. We profess with our mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord, was raised from the dead and has save us from the powers of darkness through the atonement by His Precious Blood, that was shed for us, and that he is seated at the right hand of the Father, Has given us His Holy Spirit to baptise and to seal us. That is what saves us Jack. Not listening to every wind of doctrine that blows about us. We love you Jack, the Holy Spirit loves all mankind, and He does it through His people. You are very wrong in thinking that all who ignore you are lost. (just like Elijah the true prophet was wrong.) God Bless Love-n-Grace |

Hi Jack, The SDA church does uplift Christ before the world. How can you say that we have failed, when it is still occuring and people are still being converted to Christ? What does the mission to preach Christ depend solely on our degree of pacifism? Most of the millions of SDAs do not prepare for or participate in war. It seems that every ill you perceive in the SDA church is derived from the fact that some have joined the armed forces. Bill |
