Does anyone know how April 6 th was chosen as the possible birth of Jesus?

Can anyone tell me why this date was believed to be the actual birth of Jesus?

Today is Sunday, April 6, 2008.

On this day in history:

6 - BC This day is believed by some Biblical scholars to be the
actual date of the historical birth of Jesus Christ

Hi Tex,
I just saw this post.  I had not heard of this April 6 date being Jesus' birthday, before.  What scholars say this, and what is their rationale?  Interesting.

I have never heard this before!  I think that it is widely accepted that Jesus was born in October.
