WHICH TREASURE DO YOU WANT?
Looking for man's approval
Only leads to heartache and pain
Why try so hard
What is there to gain
You try and try
Hoping for a word of encouragement
But still all you find
Is more reason for discouragement
A few may say well done
A few may even say keep trying
But all it takes is being overlooked
And you soon find yourself crying
Jesus said do not build up treasure
For here on earth
Moths and rust will spoil them
They will lose all their worth
But rather lay them up in heaven
There they do not corrupt or rust
That is where your heart should be
In Him you can always trust
So I need to remember
All I do is for my Lord
To not look to what disappoints
But look to heaven's treasure stored
For the greatest treasure
We could ever ask for
Is the love, grace, mercy and presence
Of our blessed Saviour
