Always guard your tongue, God said
Be gentle and kind with your words instead
Speak healing words to your sisters and brothers
Always, be careful of what you say to others.

Kind and loving words can heal a broken heart
Just the way, God spoke to you from the start
Harsh and mean words tear someone into
Piercing words wont help them through.

God said a tongue is like a two edged sword
How will someone know the Lord?
If all your words cut someone into
Watch what you say in all you do?

God judges the words from your voice
You have a free will and its your choice
To speak kindness and love in all you say
Encourage and lift up someone today.
