Little Baby Jesus
The taxes were to be paid that day,
While Joseph and Mary were on the way.
No place could be found for our little Jesus,
Though it is He who had come to save us.

Behold, Mary had to go into a stable
To deliver the Babe. She was able.
A star shone brightly on His little head,
As He lay in a manger on a little straw bed.

The star led the magi to the Babe of fame
And found that Jesus was His sweet name.
Can we imagine the glow in Mary's heart,
Knowing, one day, this Babe would part ...

To save a world of people from sin
And she'd see Him when He came back again?
The star seems a symbol of the Holy night
Shining down on the stable, so very bright.

Even the night seemed to sense the peace
From a love, like none other, to release.
Yes, it was bright that night ~ from a star
That drew the wise men from afar.

They brought frankincense and myrrh,
Loving the Babe and all that did occur;
Going from the country, in a different way,
That Jesus might live to save all, one day!
