My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into divers temptations; knowing [this] that teh trying of your faith worketh patience. but let patience have [her] perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. If any of you lack wisdome, let him ask of God, that giveth to all [men] liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. (From James the first chapter)
Now no chastisement for the present seemeht to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby. (Hebrews 12:11)
Today in my readings ai read of the polishing of precious stones, and how we can refuse the polishing (for, if we are of some value to Heaven in our finished state, we would do well to endure the hardships that providence ordains for us to be fitted for Heaven : fitted for being always with The Lord.)
Having never had children after the natural order of things, yet having endured some discipline from my earthly parents, my conviction is that these short but necessary trials help fit us for the place God would have us all arrive at. It is only valuable stones that are given the treatments to increase their value.
Pray that we all will endure these experiences that are used to smooth us over, for our good, always!
P.S. keeping you Monica341972 in my prayers too, btw (-__-)
