Today in my readings ai read of the polishing of precious stones, and how we can refuse the polishing (for, if we are of some value to Heaven in our finished state, we would do well to endure the hardships that providence ordains for us to be fitted for Heaven : fitted for being always with The Lord.)

 

Having never had children after the natural order of things, yet having endured some discipline from my earthly parents, my conviction is that these short but necessary trials help fit us for the place God would have us all arrive at.  It is only valuable stones that are given the treatments to increase their value.

 

Pray that we all will endure these experiences that are used to smooth us over, for our good, always!

 I am feeling really bad... I know I am blessed.. But at time when one does not except you. Makes you feel pretty bad about ones self.. I get so tired...  I feel

Monica - I am going to grab this bull by the horns because you are tap-dancing around what you are feeling but I hear you anyway because I have battled this problem most of my life . . . call a friend, call your pastor, call SOMEONE and tell them you need help. Do it NOW. Tell them what you are feeling and be HONEST, don't be polite, don['t be vague. Tell them you don't feel safe being alone. Yes, even Christians have these feelings of helplessness and hopelessness. It's not a reflection on your faith. Help is available.
