I am new to your group 
I am not really an adventist yet, but I am interested in it as I do believe in the Sabbath day. My roommate is an adventist so I have gone to church with her a couple of times.
I am in college, my last year! YEA!!! I started late in life for college but I am getting there.
I am single raised in a home with little church going after I turned about age 12. That year changed my life forever as my dad was arrested for molesting another girl my own age. We picked up and moved over a weekend. Dad left church, mom was never quite the same. Still, they were good people and even with that I saw my dad in the Bible ofte so I guess he made his own peace with God and forgiveness, so did mom I think. After my dad died, she went back to church. Not long after that she passed away too, but I feel she is with God now. Actually she is the one who first talked to me about the Sabbath as her and my dad studied and felt it was the day to keep. At that point in my life I was not as receptive to anything religious, but I remembered! I can not say my life style has been the best during my teens and I made my own mistakes in life, but I will not make some of them ever again and I hope and pray my sister will someday leave that world also.
So, now I must study for myself. I hope I can join your group, even though I am not an adventist and I can not tell you right now I ever will be. I just know I am looking for a Sabbath keeping church.
I am not sure how often I can join you as I keep very busy at work and school.
