Hey there, I was just wondering how everyone in the college ages were doing? How are things in life treating you? How do you manage work, school, social life, church , etc . . . .

What are your goals in life:

well i gotta tell ya, I dont got much time to myself. I am a first year student, have classes mornings and work various hours each day, so study comes in between.Sleep comes whenever I am not doing the other three things.

I go home every weekend to my parents so go to my old church which is great, dont got no time to break in totally new peeps.

Dating? hmm what is that now? I seem to remember it from another age.

Education goals: graduate with a degree and get a good job somewhere in the next 4 yrs

Spiritual: well I do believe in God and Jesus and I know I need to find more time to read the bible, it just seems to get harder to find time or the energy. I still pray and talk to God every day. I still go to church on most every Sabbath. Sometimes I think I am more just there than really aware , if ya get my drift. I didnt used to be that way , was very involved in church. I probably should go to college closer to home and live at home and work less hours and have more time to do things like I used to do. ya know?

I do not want to become like some peeps who suddenly find them selves outside a church with a million reasons why they done it, and most times not one reason is worth a penney when you get down to it. I also dont wanna be one of those who go through church motions and yet never really experience it or let it touch you.

I need to think awhile on this one.

Well, I hear ya. I am attending school online so that I am home for my son in the evening. I will tell you that I have missed church because I had a dead line on assignments. But a friend said “to never give up on what you believe”. So I went to church with passion. I love going to church because I get award for praising his holy name. I love to sing too.

Keep praying and you’ll get your reward in the end.

Well I am a senior in college and boy! has it been hard to balance school,
family/friends and church at the same time. After this I'm going to start
another degree. I'm terrified of it, but God will help me through it. Now
if I could fit him into my schedual, I find that not putting God first you
are not able to accomplish everything you meant to do on that day, you seem
to fall behind a lot and that is what has hapen to me. I go to church every
saturday for a spiritual lift up because during the week I don't spend as
much time as I should with my God and savior.

"My God, I have never thanked Thee for my thorn! I have thanked Thee a
thousand times for my roses, but never once for my thorn. Teach me the glory
of the cross I bear, teach me the value of my thorns. Show me that I have
climbed to Thee by the path of pain. Show me that my tears have made my
rainbow."

okay since the children are grown college has become an option. the biggest challenge is keeping close to God while attending a community college.
but at the end of fall semester in 2003 I found myself hungering for more reading. I have been able to use things I've learned in conversations with folks I've met in NC shere I live and learning has improved my skills with playing "JEOPARDY" at home. I love it. but social life and lots of other things feel neglected.....oops need to water the plants

hi all, I am a senior in a non- adventist university, i must say i have being able to manage my time wisely. I have taken up a few more responsibilities in the church that is about 20 minutes walk from where i live on Campus. My week is very busy and most sabbath i spend the entire day at church. I miss my family dearly , i will be flying home to see them in May by God's Grace.I have to admit that That the SDA church that i am a member of and i attend has really sustain me through some difficult times i had at school, the peer pressure, friends, criticism all because i believe in the Bible. The fellowshipping, the youth program that i am also a youth officer has occupy my time so much, through all of this i never knew that other students were admiring what i do and often attend church with me on Sabbaths.

As i look at this experience i realize Jesus did not come into this world for the righteos but for the sinner the lost sheeps.

God bless
