We go to church and we hear testimony as to how the Lord answers our prayers.  We see and hear from the brethren how wonderfully the Lord has been with them.  They go in to details as to how the Lord answered their prayers and the mercy of God has been with them.

it is so different when you see it for yourself.  When it is done to you, you prayers are answered.  I used to be more active with this group in the past but today I have limited time to be in the group.  I was asked by the Lord to leave my home church and go to another church.  There I was ordained an elder.  I am looked by many as if I were the pastor, the spiritual leader.  This being new to me has made get closer to the Lord.

One of my duties in this church is to keep an eye on phone messages of the church.  On 6-25-07, I answered a distress message that I received from a lady that was asking for prayers for her husband.  This lady call 411 for an Adventist church as she knew that her husband was raised since childhood as an Adventist.  She got our number of all churches in the area.  I was not able to speak to her but by the information that she left in voice mail, I was able to call the hospital where her husband was hospitalized and I went to see him.  He was in bad shape.  Pneumonia took out his lungs.  The doctors had told her that he was never to recuperate from it so it was best for the family to remove the machine that serve as lungs for him.

She used to go to church with him so she knew his love of the Lord in the past.  When the news was given to her, the only thing that she could think of was to have an Adventist church pray for Him.   She realized that only by the grace of God, a miracle was her husband to get up again from that bed.  It was already 6 weeks and there was no good news: no process being made.  I felt her pain in the message that she left in the voice mail.  I went to see the man.  He had been in intensive care ICU for all that time.  Everyone had given up on him.  But she new that there is someone that can do more than man so she ask for that one who is so special to do His work.

This was on a Monday.  On Wednesday, we added his name to the church list to pray for.  The next day I agree to meet with the wife by his bed side.  it was shocking to see her respond as to what awaited for us.  When we walked in to his room, he was been given physical therapy.  He was a different man.  He was alert 100%.  He wanted to talk but since he couldn't, he wrote to us.  She was in tears for she was in shock since the beginning of May, he had not moved nor speak.  On the way out of the hospital, she said to me several times "it look like you guys prayed really hard".

I have continued to visit this man and will continue to visit him as long as I am permitted.  My last visit was this past Sunday.  As I walk in to his room, I found him seating up in bed watching TV and reading and answering his email in a laptop.  For the first time, we were able to have a conversation.  We talked for over an hour.  He was telling me that there is a plan for him to be transfer to a rehab center near his family where he can be assisted outside a hospital to be fully recuperated.

And with all that man was doing, man's doing was not enough.  It took the power of our loving Father to heal him.   He knows it.

Everyday I walk more assure that God lives and there is no one like Him.

May the Lord have mercy on us, and may all our prayers be answered by Him.  In do time, all that are good for us will be answered as sure that we are that Our Lord Jesus Christ will come back for those who awaits His return.

Hiya Love,
Thank you for this message you have given us, God is still at work in our lives today and all that is needed is to ask, to share with God our needs, our burdens, and God is faithful to reply and answer those needs.

Your message was such a blessing to me, thank you.
