Without submission there is no Dominance.

To receive submission from another is a gift.

Trust: the corner stone of a D/s relationship, without it there is nothing.
Acceptance: of Self ?needs and desires, limitations, and of Dominant / submissive
Communication: Between a Dominant and submissive has to be open, honest, covering all areas ?physical, emotional, needs, wants, fears etc.
Compassion: to A/all
Courtesy: to A/all
Grace: to present Y/yourself with dignity
Dominance: inherent natural ability to lead, to exert control in a respectful, intelligent and humble manner
Submissive: inherent natural need to be lead and to serve.
Honesty: in all areas.
Humility: ability to see Yourself as fallible (Dominant).
Intelligence: willingness and ability to know the physical and psychological tools of Dominance
Loyalty: to Y/your Dominant or submissive.
Patience: with each O/other and O/others.
Respect: is earned not a right therefore give respect to earn for S/self.

Responsibility: of O/own actions and admitting a mistake.
Self control: to be in control of self ?for a Dominant a must before They can be in control of a submissive
Self respect: value S/self and respect O/own limits.
Service: The Dominant mutually serves the submissive by meeting the emotional and physical needs of the submissive.

Hiya moonie

Im not sure where you were going with this to be honest. Maybe it was a task set to you or something?

Just a couple of little things from the dev perspective...

* Submission is not a gift. It isnt a present i give for a special occasion or something i give because i think it would be liked. It's something i need...something i do as much for myself as for Someone else.

* Dominance - while ideally would include intelligence, respect and humility...is not always so. To assume that because Someone presents themself as Dominant, they will have these characteristics is naive and dangerous.

* Humility works both ways not only for Dominants.

* Respect - while this may be a personal choice....i give respect to everyone until they prove to not deserve it. Why? because it's polite to assume that people are worthy of this small consideration until they've proven they arent.

* Service - The Dominant (again ideally) provides for the submissive both emotionally and physically, just as the submissive does for their Dominant. It's not a service...it's an exchange in any healthy relationship regardless of lifestyle orientation.
