hi jg,

i was just thinking that i should do an update.

a week after His diagnosis dan, my youngest went to stay with his dad, what a disaster as far as his relationship with his dad and his eating was concerned - the kitchen was filthy with cockroaches plus lots of fried food... the good thing was that the anger started to come out. He came back 10 days early.

He and i talked and i cried when he said i was his only good parent and that i was in no way responsible for his problems. He had promised the doctor that he would eat a full and healthy cooked dinner every night and he has stuck to that 98% of the time. He also promised he wouldnt make himself vomit and to my knowledge he has only done that twice.

it is hard as a mother not to nag and show that i am overly concerned but most of the time i have achieved that balance around him. yes i still cry at night but remember the words of goddess of the c - light a candle and you will not cry alone all the mothers of the world will cry with you. ( i think i have quoted her correctly)

He had his weigh in with the doc and although he was 58 kilos instead of 60 we are still not panicking.... he is eating, he is dealing with the issues... he has been offered counselling but hasnt said if he will take it or not.. i know not to pressurise him. He has a good group of friends who are supporting him as are some of their parents.

the older lad is with his dad for a while longer - he is so much stronger these days and his writing is fantastic. He is being mentored by a sci-fi author who is in print so i am hopeful that one day he will be in print to.

i am doing ok - up and down days but with college starting next week i have the second year of my degree to focus on. i also have a wonderful Dominant in my life.

thank you jg for showing you care
hugssssssssssssss and kisses
 moonie
