Well Windows Live Groups are finally open and active. I went ahead and created one just to see what all was there. You can visit mine as its public and take a look.
It has a couple of cool features. The ability for up to 20 of your members to chat all together on messenger. However most people do not want E/everyone having their e-mail address so to me this is a privacy issue. The thing I liked the most was the 5 gb of free storage. I will keep it for that alone!!! that includes doc files and other files also.
There is no table builder on the editing tools in the discussion area. There is an html button so you can transfer existing pages.
All in all not exactly what those who use msn groups want or need. It has some interesting features I may make use of but over all has little to offer and I prefer the ability to customize W/we have in Aimoo.
Speaking of customization, there is none in Windows Live Groups. A few themes of their choosing, I went to the help and contact section to try to find out if I had missed seing something or if this might change. That was an exercise in frustration and futility. 5 screens later I was directed to submit my question in the space provided below. LOL there was no space below. So question unanswered there for now.
Hope this helps all those who may have still been undecided about where to move.
