Adding Brushes to PSP

1.  Make a folder on your desk top or someplace and name it "brushes".

2.  Put the brushes in the folder and unzip any zipped ones to there.

3. Open PSP

4.  Go to FILE

5.  Import custom brushes

6.  On the list, go to where you put your brush folder.

7.  Click on the brushes you want to add and then click add all..in the center.

8.  They should now show up on the right side.

9.  Go down and click add or ok.

10.  They should now be in your psp brush folder.

To Check:

Open a new transparent image and flood fill it with white.

Change the color in your top layer palette to any color other then white (so your brush will show up)

Go over to your tools and click on your paint brush tool.  Across the top you will now see a place for the settings for your brush.  The first one has a drop down list.  Click on the little arrow so the drop down list will open up and you will see all of your brushes in there.  Find one that you want to use and click on it.  You can adjust the size by choosing a higher number (for a larger image) or, a lower number (for a smaller image).   Set your step number on how large or small you want it to be...experiment to see what works best for your tag.  Density 100, rotation 0, opacity 100, blend mode ..normal...contiguous is checked.

The only thing I change much is the step for the size.

Once you've found the brush you want to use and have clicked on it, go down to your new white image and click.

One thing to remember:

When adding brushes, always add a new raster layer then add your brush.  This enables you to be able to move the brush images around to where you want them.

Hope this helped...:)
