Making it Snow Supplies needed: a winter graphic or photograph VDL Andrenaline Snowflake Filter (found on the snags to share board) I will be showing you how to use the basics of the filter. 1. Open your graphic in PSP. 2. If your graphic is showing as a background, convert it to a layer by right clicking and the layer and clicking "promote background layer". 2. If adding any extras such as names, masks, borders, etc. do it now. 3. Duplicate your layer twice for a total of 3 layers in your layers palette. 4. Highlight your top layer. Go to effect, plugins, VDL Andrenaline ..snowflake and either use your own settings or....mine that are listed here: amount - 18 size range begin - 0 size range end - 14 hardness - 100 transparency - 0 snow color - basic snow random seed - 0 click ok 5. X out your top layer and highlight your middle layer. 6. Leave all the settings the same but change the random seed by moving the slide bar over to around the middle. then click ok. 7. Now x out the middle layer and highlight the bottom layer. 8. Change only the slide bar once again...moving it to the end on the right. click ok. 9. Save this layer as a psp animation file, naming it something you will remember...such as image 1. 10. Unhide the middle layer and highlight it and save it as image 2. 11. Unhide the bottom layer and highlight it and save it as image 3. Open Animation Shop 1. File, Animation Wizard, same size as 1st image frame, next Opaque, next centered in frame, with canvas color, next yes, 15, next click add image and add #1-#3, Next ok 2. Go to view animation. If happy with it, then save as a gif file...you're done! |
