Don't sell the program short. In all honesty PSP can do what a lot of the filters out there do, it just does it in a few more steps then they do. Below is an example. Eye Candy offers Shadow Lab, now it's cool, you can do perspective shadows with it. BUT you can do the same thing with PSP, ya just have to do a few more things.........................
How to a persepective shadow in PSP
-
Open a new canvas in PSP
-
Add the graphic to the new canvas with a copy and paste
-
Selections --> All/Float
-
Layers --> New Raster Layer
-
Flood Fill Tool --> Stroke color set at black
-
flood fill selection --> Selections --> None
-
Move Tool --> move the newly filled selection away from your graphic so you'll be able to see it better
-
Selections --> All/Float
-
Deformation Tool --> while holding down the shift key move your curser to the top right node and drag it to the right a ways, do the same with the top left --> Now grab the top center and drag it down a bit --> keep repeating that till you have it like you want it.
-
Layer Palette --> reduce the opacity on that layer to the shade you want
-
Effects --> Blur --> Blur --> Effects --> Blur --> Soften
-
Move Tool --> now move the shadow where you want it next to the graphic and that's all there is to making a perspective shadow with PSP only.
