Her note:
FOUND THESE QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS ABOUT PHOTOBUCKET:
(Remember I only know little about the photobucket.
hoping this thread will guide us well)

"i have a pay photobucket account and its locked
but i would like to share snags is there a way i can"

what do you mean it's locked?
you mean it's private?

if that's what you mean then yes I have a private account too.
just means no one can follow an image link back and get into your photobucket
unless they have the password

And you should keep it private!! Otherwise, everyone who searches for stuff in photobucket,
has access to your pics!!!!

When you sign in to Photobucket, at the upper right after your welcome name, you'll see "Account Options".
Click that and then scroll down to where it says "Album Settings".
Click "edit my album settings" and then change Public to Private, then Save.
Remember to always log off when you're done using Photobucket.

I don't understand, unless you were already wanting a photo bucket account,
why is everyone getting it?..What was posted from msn or whoever wasn't a bad thing
or am I reading something wrong?
with MSN you're only allowed to use the 3MB's they give you.
That's impossible to work with.
At least,I think so. I couldn't do my posting
everyday on that small amount.

TIP #4

From M.

HOW TO USE PHOTOBUCKET IN MSN GROUPS

1. Find the post that you want to add a picture.

2. Click on reply, so that the pop window shows up.

3. In a separate window, open your Photobucket account.

(if you do not have an account, you can easily get one at www.photobucket.com)

4. Find the image that you wish to add.

5. LEFT CLICK on the image.

6. The new page will have your image enlarged.

7. On this page, click Full Size (in the upper left corner).

8. The new page will have your image centered, and enlarged (a little).

9. RIGHT CLICK on the image.

10. Click COPY.

11. Back in the reply pop window (that you opened in step #2), make sure your cursor is in the body of the message

12. Click on the Paste Text button (3rd from the left on the top row).

13. Your image should show up in the body of the message.

14. You can then add whatever text you wish and click Send Message

HER NOTE:

HI VAL
I DON'T USE THE ...HTML...IN PHOTOBUCKET.
WHAT I DO IS
WHEN I COPY IN PHOTO BUCKET AND COME IN THE ROOM
AND CLICK REPLY
I CLICK ON THE LITTLE ICON UP TO THE LEFT
THAT LOOKS LIKEAND LITTLE BROWN SUIT CASE.

AS ONCE THEY ARE UP LOADED THERE
THEY STAY UNTIL YOU DELETE THEM.
WHERE YOU PICS ARE YOU SEE THE WORDS MOVE...DELETE.
DON'T MOVE THEM OR YOU BREAK THE LINK....
I DELETE MINE AFTER 3 DAYS...
I THINK THAT IS LONG ENOUGH TO HAVE THEM UP IN THE ROOM...
AS IF YOU DO DELETE AFTER YOU POST
THEN THEY SHOW UP RED X
HOPE THIS HELPS.
M

TIP #

UP IT HERE (not Photobucket)
This may help you in posting snags.
(or not) from a discussion in my group.
The poster is a manager of a large graphics/psp group
and her answers to most questions are 'spot on'.
Just trying to help.

Really easy and quick way to to safely
add graphics to msn group....

Click on 'browse 'and find the pic on your pc you want to add to your message.

Then click on upload ( the title bit isn't necessary)

Highlight (by clicking and dragging in the box)
and copy the  information in the top box ( Thumbnail for website)

Open up new msn message and click the use HTML to create your page
( below left of the message box)

Paste the info into the message .

Then unclick the html option ( you should see your picture now)
Add any words above and below your graphic and hit send.

You don't need to sign up for anything using Upithere
and therefore you won't get bombarded with unwanted spam.
Great method for those one off graphics you want to share!

TIP # 6 (Downloading more than one tag??)

Uploading with Windows XP Publisher

Overview: The following tutorial is a step by step guide on how to upload content to your Photobucket account using Windows XP Publisher.

Requirements: You must be a Photobucket account holder using Windows XP.

Steps to Take:
  1. First, you must have the Windows XP Publisher changes installed on your computer. Click here to make the necessary system registry changes to allow the Windows XP Publisher to directly access your Photobucket account.

Don't forget to open and run this file after it has been successfully saved to your computer!

  2. Locate and select the file (or files) that you would like to upload to your Photobucket account.

Note: Uploading video is not currently supported when using Windows XP Publisher. Supported image file types are jpg, gif, png, bmp (bmp will convert to jpg on upload) , swf files (swf files must be uploaded as an image and NOT as a video).
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

  3. On the left hand side of the Windows 'Explore' window, select the 'Publish the selected items to the Web' link.

Note: If you do not see a menu like this, you may be viewing things in Classic mode. If that is the case, you will need to close the folder view first.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

  4. Click the 'Next' button to continue.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
  5. At this point, you can uncheck the boxes for any images you decide not to upload. All images that are checked will be uploaded to your Photobucket account. Select the 'Next' button to continue.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
  6. Select the Photobucket.com Image uploader option from this window. Select the 'Next' button to continue
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
  7. At the Photobucket login screen, enter your registered username and password and select the 'Next' button to continue.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
  8. Highlight the album in your Photobucket account that you would like to upload your image (or images) to. Select the 'Next' button to continue.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
  9. You will need to check your 'Uploading Options' in your Photobucket account to make sure that you end up with the desired image size. Your Photobucket options should be set equal to or higher than the Windows XP Publisher settings if you choose to use this option.

Note: If you do not wish to use the Windows XP Publisher resizing options (you are using your Photobucket options instead), please un-check this box at this time.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

  10. Your images will now be transferred, and the progress meter will indicate the status of your upload. When your upload has been completed, the following message will appear, giving you the option to open Photobucket. Select the 'Finish' button if you would like to go to your Photobucket account at this time.

Note: Uncheck the box prior to selecting 'Finish' if you do not want to automatically log into your Photobucket account.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

  11. The images are now visible in your account and are ready for sharing and linking around the web!

Cool new way to do this. I just save everything in photobucket. Press on the picture. It enlarges. Copy that. Then you can paste it in the message and it will show up.

Do you just upload the pic you want to use,

By reading the directions over n over,
it seems that when I find a tag I want to snag:

1) Find a tag
2) download the picture "save as" method into my computer files.
3) Go to my computer file to pick a tag to post
which need to changed into Photobucket-tag
before posting into my snag board???
