You Were There
You were there when I needed you the most, You rejoiced with me in times of happiness and helped me through my time of pain, when I often felt as though I had nothing left to gain.
You were there when all I needed was a friend, You reached out and touched my broken heart and surrounded me with a love that will never end.
You were there when I couldnt open the door, You put a smile on my face when I thought I could smile no more. You shared Your love and faith and maybe at times it seemed like I didn't notice or care, but I did, I was quietly listening.
You were there and all the things that have been said and done have been etched on my heart forever.
I know it won't be easy but You are my gracious Heavenly Father and I feel Your arms around me.
You were there and still I feel you and look to You for guidance, You have placed others in my path and blessed me , now help me to be a blessing to others and once again I thank You just for being there.
