My Friends remember me in your prayers, tonight the heater started blowing only cold air and it is -20 outside.  I noticed the house was cooling off fast.  My heater is not igniting.  I believe it is a bad ignitor flame assembly.  I called a heating repair place for after hours service,  I wanted to just buy the part and fix the problem myself.  The technician  tried everything he could to let me have him come fix it, but when i asked him if he had  the part i need. He didn't even have one and he would have had to make a second trip to get the part, so I asked him if he would go get the part and I meet him he refused to sell me the part because he was afraid he would get in trouble with his boses for selling the part and not doing the servicing.  This company should be fined for their price gouging.

 

Now it is 4 am and my house has really turned cold it is under 30,  i have a few more hours to wait and the stores will be open.  I am praying that I can find the part and the sellers are realistic on the price.

 

I can get one on ebay but that will be 3-5 days no heat for under $50.  One heating company sells the part for $198.   To purchase it from another out of state company with regular delivery the cost is only 29.99.  I honestly do not understand why there is such a price mark up.   It is wrong people can and do take advantage just to make a buck when someone needs a part that can provide heat in this wicked weather.

 

Three years ago I had to have my heater worked on and it cost over $300. what made me so upset was the service fee $75., the labor fee $35. an hour and the travel cost $2.50 a mile.  I paid $295 just in fees--so that is why i want to do the labor my self.

 

I am just a little overwhelmed tonight

 

 

Lord Jesus, Help me get the right part needed to repair my furnance and let me do the repair correctly and have heat restored in my home.  And please let the part be realisticly priced.  I claim this in your Holy name Jesus Amen.
