Make Your Allergies Disappear Fast

By CJ Puotinen

If you've ever had allergies, you recognize the symptoms. Ragweed pollen, dust mites, pet dander, and other irritants can cause swollen eyes, sneezing, sinus congestion, a drippy nose, headaches, and shortness of breath.

Topical irritants can cause itchy rashes. Certain foods can cause hives. Millions of Americans of all ages are diagnosed with allergies every year, and those allergies interfere with every imaginable activity.

No wonder there are so many over-the-counter and prescription medications for allergic reactions. But medications don't always work, their effects are temporary, and they often cause drowsiness or other symptoms.

Now a small but growing number of allergy sufferers are finding relief not in the medicine cabinet but in a simple technique that involves fingertip tapping on the face and torso. The procedure, called EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), has alleviated the symptoms of many allergies in just minutes.

According to EFT founder Gary Craig, the procedure works by addressing the underlying causes of allergic reactions -- and the causes, he explains, are not things like pollen or strawberries. The causes are blocks in the body's energy paths.

"These are the same paths or meridians used in Traditional Chinese Medicine," says Craig. "Acupuncture works by activating key points along these paths, thus releasing the blocks that interfere with the flow of energy. EFT releases energy blocks by activating key points but with gentle tapping instead of acupuncture needles."

After learning EFT from Craig at a Cleveland, Ohio, seminar, Mary Smith was inspired to try it with her son, who at age 2 had broken out in a swollen-eyed rash while visiting his grandmother's horse farm. [You can read the entire account on the EFT Web site.]

"He has been very allergic to horses ever since," says Smith. "After the Cleveland seminar, I was inspired to try the tapping with my son. We did it on the way to my mother's barn. I had him tap and think about his allergy as we drove in and looked at the horses.

"I'll be darned if we didn't stay there for an hour petting the horses and climbing in the hay loft! And now, with 10 riding lessons under his belt, he is cantering and wondering when he can gallop! Thank you so much for this freedom!"

The EFT archives offer many examples of the procedure's effect on allergies.  In most cases, relief begins within minutes, and in many cases, the results are permanent.

"People who aren't used to thinking about the body's energy paths find this difficult to imagine," says Craig, "but when they see their own or someone else's symptoms disappear before their eyes, they realize that something powerful is happening."

An entire nation watched such a demonstration when EFT practitioner Joachim Schubert appeared on Germany's major TV station during prime time.

"The TV station requested that we apply EFT to someone who had physical symptoms so the audience could see the reduction of those symptoms during the session," explains Schubert.

"They chose a young lady who experienced swelling, itching, and redness on her skin whenever she was exposed to cold temperatures. She was willing to activate this allergy on one of her hands and on her lip using ice cubes.

"Her reaction in front of the camera was immediate. The swelling and redness on her hand and mouth were very evident. The symptoms were intense, and she could not even close her hand due to the swelling. But after a minute or so of tapping, her redness and swelling reduced by over 80 percent."

In addition to alleviating allergies, EFT has been a consistently effective healing tool for hundreds of other physical, mental, and emotional ailments.  For more information, see the EFT Web site and its numerous success stories regarding fears, phobias, emotional traumas and physical conditions.

While a complete description of EFT is beyond the scope of this article, you can learn all the basics from the free EFT Get Started Package, including a free download of the 79-page EFT Manual. Those wishing to save time and dive right in can get the affordable five-star training DVDs.

Please consult qualified health professionals before putting EFT into practice for yourself or others.

I came across this group of vidoes last week, tho a GF mailed me the manual 2-3 yrs ago & I've downloaded it too, I'm a very visual person so haven't made much use of the technique.  On the w/e I decided to try out a couple of the specific demos to see if I'd get anything from it.  {I was pleasantly pleased}
