i have been working at an insurance company the last few weeks and they told me i had to take a state insurance exam. (im a receptionist, but state law says anybody working in the office that answers any kind of insurance questions or takes payments, has to be studying or taking the test). but w/my fibro and age taking the test is just too stressfull for me. plus it costs $115 a pop. most everybody ends up passing it after the 3rd time and still has to pay for each of those times over a period of months or years.

i didn't wanna get caught up in that. so ashley furniture had emailed me about a customer service job at their new store close to home. so i had told them thanx anyway. but when i found out there was no way around the test, i emailed back the lady at ashley and she said come for an interview.

the interview as last night at 7pm and i passed it w/flying colors. now all i have to do is pass the drug test. but that is cool, im only using OTC stuff right now anyway. so tomorrow i go and get the drug test before work at the other job. as soon as the results come in or next monday i will starting my new job.  usually w/a urine test they get the results immediately. so if i can get my old job to let me out early i can start the same day or next day after the test. WHOOO HOOO!

i knew that benefits came w/the job. but i didnt know dental did. so i'm just over the top about it. i need my teeth fixed badly. im hoping by this time next year i will have pearly whites, even if they are false. lol!

well, thats all the news fit to print, except that i finally really truly said its over w/my ex and my daughter is getting married next year! my son is also seriously thinking about trying to get a job, even tho he is on SSI and doesnt have to work. he might even try to get a place by himself.  big steps, but WHOOO HOOO!

thanx for listening,

Wow,  excellent, I am soo glad to hear that finally a good position has come your way !  Your struggles, determination and persistance has finally paid off !  You really do deserve to find a good place to work, and one with good benefits ! ??  Wonderful, that is such a bonus !   I agree those insurance tests are not an easy matter to get through - three tries to get through !!  too much, unless you plan to make some kind of career of it !

Sounds as though things are moving along quickly for you ! But that's how it goes when you're on a roll (the best kind that is).  Please, just take care of you though, as I know how easy it is to overdo when things are going well !

Yeah, those pop in pearly whites sure beat the other kind when they've worn out, I'll tell ya - lol.

I'm glad that Hil & John are getting married next year, that will give you time to enjoy all the planning, etc. leading up to it !  That would be soo cool if Jeremy managed to get himself a job, I think it would really do a lot for him, if he finds a good employer.
Hey, Nancy, I'm always glad to listen !
Hugs
Rene M

Wow, Nancy, You do make it to the head of the classs for tenacity, courage and inner strength !   After all the places you've tried out in the past year, I've got to say I've never met anyone who has managed to surpass so many obstacles !  This position has to be a very large reward for all of your efforts !

lol, yeah especially since the silly man got a page on a local dating service. i joined another one, but you have to pay to really use it. so i will probably just delete it. he is telling everybody (including hil) that he has stopped drinking. but i don't believe it for a minute. i will probably enter my own bio on the same one he is on. at least he will leave me alone. but first im gonna check out some other ones that are different from his.

usually i can meet ppl other ways. but lately i just havent ran into anybody. i'm still up in the air about what im gonna do. but my daughter did well on it. so i figured it wouldn't hurt to try.

as for my job. everything is going along fantastically. i'm thankful everyday that i found something.

hugs,

Well, if nothing else, it just goes to show ya can't believe everything ya read on those pages !. Besides a person can say they quit what ever - until a big bump in the road happens & then guess what ???        Personally, I've always felt that the right person will arrive when I reach the right place in my life !  However, my dating experience was before the days of  i/n meeting !  lol.

I am very happy that you have found a good position, sometimes that can really make up for some of the other things that are missing !

Hugs,
