Exaltation

A piece of cloth
Colored and striped
Oneway or another
Hovers proudly
Above an assemblage.

They dance and sing
An anthem, with
Intense devotion and
Overwhelming tears.

It is their identity
Bordered by others
Whose blood is red
Just like theirs.

Others too cry, sing
And dance with
Immense patriotism
Engulfing their hearts
Only for another
Piece of cloth
Colored and striped
Oneway or another.

The Dance of Life

A composition of creation
This precious gift of life
Wondrous to observe
Faltering steps
Become a symphony in motion

The finding of 'Self'
Merging into the  harmony of 'Together'
Reaching out to hold close
The unity of the human state

Through eyes of love and respect
See the splendour of the dance
Together
Apart
Embraced
Enfolded
magnificence in motion and rhythm

Sometimes a wild turbulent celebration
And in a moment a graceful waltz
Sometimes a joyous leap of faith
And then a slow descent flowing to earth
On gentle waves of harmonic resonance
A relection of the pulse of mankind

Then the brilliantr uplifting dance of the Soul
Flowing ever upward
Towards Eternal Light
Free as we have never been
Connected through each heart
Touched by love
We become as one
And share this dance of life

THE TOTAL ECLIPSE OF THE HEART

<DIR>

There is an eclipse coming

Has a bold look

Everyone can experience eclipses

The wind blows

Over the sun moves towards the moon

Time flies like the wind

Alas the eclipse is gone

Love gets eclipsed

Eventually the eclipse will come again

Clap the thunder comes

Last long the eclipse of the heart

In the heart the eclipse goes

Peace comes to the eclipsed hearts

The sunrays beat in the heart

Enjoy the eclipsed heart

On the of an eclipse hope and love spring eternal

Fall in love with the eclipse

Then u will see what I mean by the total eclipse of the heart

Hand and hand the lovers walk

Eventually lovers will join

Hearts of lovers beat in unison

Enjoy the total eclipse one and all

As lovers enjoy their love and the total eclipse of the heart

Ring in the love from the eclipse of the heart

True love is seen

In The Beginning
By
Phoenix
(copyright 1/24/2003)

What awesome sight to fill the sky,

What blinding light did meet the eye;

When from nothing came all to be,

When from darkness, light to see;

Where timeless ages humbly bowed,

Where forever became here and now;

How empty silence awoke to sound,

How lifeless, sprung with life abound;

Why from nothing did all come to be,

Why do we question and cannot see.

The Fabric of Unity

Silken threads
Woven in time

Colours of love
Fibres of strength

Set deep within
The heart and the soul

Eyes that reflect
Hands that touch gently

The unity of knowing
The beauty within

How wondrous this fabric
Humanity's cloth

Intricate meldings
The lace of our lives.

                                     CAT

A jumping juggernaut a jesting jab
A troubling troubadour a tarty little tab
A slipping sliding smashing duff
A floundering feline of furry fluff
A nip a nap a nudging budge
A hip hopping hissing grudge
A crazy quickness of quizziling quest
A zigging zag of zany zest
A clump of cleanlyness a clamping claw
A puffing pounding of padded paw
A blazing bluntness of a bored bad boy
A triumphant traverse a tasty tiny toy
A leaping lazyhead a lovely little licker
A dazzling delinquent a double daring dicker
When God created you he laughed and sat
For you took a lot to create you naughty little cat

Entwined

The flames of a lifetime of candles

Ablaze in the ebony sky

Dancing to the music

Of Universal Soul

Each step

To an inner beat

Of the One

And yet apart

 Touching softly

Warming gently

Rising together

Sharing the light

Then flickering

And falling apart

Imprinted in memory

A touch of heart

Relentless this movement

This seeking of path

Flames moving ever upward

Entwined in the dance of life

Yet each one burning brightly

Alone and apart

RESOLUTION

by
Kathi Flannery  10/6/01

I want to live until I die;
to laugh, rejoice, to feel
and think and cry;
and yes, to fly! -with purpose
and a destination-
to dream, to build, to plan with dedication;
to believe in love and life and peace and worth;
to share the wonders of the mind,
and of this earth;
to care for thousands that I'll never see
and feel that caring flowing back to me.

God spared my life, my living, with a reason,
and I had entered on a different season
of calm and peace and growth-
He wouldn't want that season ended now!

But neither would he want me to froget,
and I never will; nor recall without regret
that proud, bright skyline of September 10th!
I grieve  for shattered lives, for heroes lost;
and rebuilding! -I cannot comprehend the cost.

But somehow I feel our country will survive,
and I pray that I'll keep this resolve alive;
I know sometimes I'll worry, fear, and cry-
but, oh, dear Lord,
I want to live until I die.

Best Friends

We are two once unknown
brought together on our own
once we met we can't forget
and haven't left each other yet
so we stand together still
addicted to each other like a pill
and we go on together till the ends
because we are and always will be
best friends.

NEVER BE APART

Once I saw you don't you know
I couldn't think or let you go
You came to me and I could see
that all this craziness was meant to be
We went along without a thought
of who or what was wrong or not
we wonder now at a distance
will there be another chance
to be togther forever
to be parted never
instead we go along wondering
if we did the right thing
of letting go what we both knew
was something we should both do
to love each other with all our heart
and never, ever be apart.

A Mothers Love

In your kind andgentle way
You gave me strength and courage
You taught me to care
for the world,
You showed me the power
of faith
And the pleasures of giving
instead of take.
You worried over me
sometimes needlessly.
And I know now
the meaning of your words
A child that is growing
stomps the toes,
But a child that is grown
stomps the heart.
And some of your
silver strands of hair,
I know I helped put there.
Perhaps you didn't say
often enough
Nor, I
I love you..
But I know you did
as I do you,
Because you were
my dear mother.

PROUD TO BE an AMERICAN

Lofty mountains..
Valleys sweep
into golden fields of grain,
A battered flag
that still waves on
A people proud
with inner strength,
Battles won
for freedoms sake..
Yes, I'm proud
to be an American

SADDAM HUSSEIN

by Real   Oct. 1990

You're a digger of ditches
In this you take great pride
But the only thing
you've managed
Is a place to hide.
You stole  a country
by greed and stealth
Forgetting a people
while you live in wealth.
Onto the sand you make a sheild
from the innocent
And care not of their lives spent
You dare call yourself man.
With your back to the wall
your armies grow small
For you didn't for-see
the strength of forces united
and that goodness shall prevail.
Perhaps you belong to God's
scheme of things
But, Saddam Hussein
you're the worse case of evil
That I've ever see.

I Despair

So Cain killed Abel
 And so it begun
Now some men take the right
To kill another mans son

When will this end
When will they learn
Will they accept their sons death
When it comes to their turn

All men have the right to die
For what they believe
But not the right to kill
And make another man grieve

If you want to die for a cause
To show that you care
Then die like the boy
Under the tank in Tienanmen Square

Don't kill a mans child
And expect him to forgive
Because he'd lay down his life
To allow them to live

So where does it get them
All this blood and the hate
It gets their sons killed
As in our grief we retaliate

And so the circle whole
It never does end
As they kill and we die
And we war without end

They wave their fine flags
Their gods and their hate
And the innocent die
Because such is their fate

Woman or man
Girl or boy
When will they see
A life isn't a toy

I grieve and I weep
In the depths of despair
How can they kill
Without even a care

You murder our sons
Leaving just weeping mothers
Isn't it time that you learned
That all men are brothers
