Indian Succotash


Ingredients

 

 

1 pound hot-style bulk pork sausage

1 cup chopped onion

1 28-ounce can tomatoes, cut up

1 14 3/4-ounce can cream-style corn

1 15-ounce can navy beans, rinsed and drained

1/4 cup water

1/4 teaspoon pepper

Dash (or two) bottled hot pepper sauce (TABASCO Habanero SAUCE works good)

 

Crumble sausage in a large saucepan, add onion. Cook and stir over medium heat till meat is browned and onion is tender. Drain excess fat.

Stir in undrained tomatoes, corn, beans, water, pepper and hot sauce. Bring to boiling. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 15 minutes or till desired consistency.
