French Silk Chocolate Pie

Ingredients

1 stick unsalted butter, softened but not melted
3/4 cup sugar
2 oz. (squares) unsweetened baking chocolate, melted then cooled
1 tsp. vanilla
2 lg. eggs
1 small cont. Cool Whip
1-8" graham cracker pie shell, or pre-baked pastry shell, cooled

Procedure

In mixing bowl, cream butter, beat in sugar, cream well. Beat in melted, cooled baking chocolate and vanilla. Add eggs, one at a time, beating 5 min. each and scraping bowl a lot making sure to incorporate all sugar granules so it's no longer grainy and extremely creamy. Spread into pie shell, chill 1 hour. Top with Cool Whip. Decorate with chocolate curls, mar. cherries, colored sprinkles, nuts, whatever you want!

*Cool Whip can be tinted with a few drops of food coloring to match any holiday.
*Other extracts can be added in addition to the vanilla to make chocolate - mint, orange, raspberry, almond, etc. !

This pie is easy to make, but easiest done in a stand-up style mixer!

(Cut into small pieces, very rich!)
