Okay! here I am!....
The Ladies & I made it out this a.m. & back......just before it started raining in "my widdle corner" of Toronto!
No wild life was spotted BUT we did see 2 newspaper delivery guys and one cabbie , we said "Hi" to!
Yesterday went well...altho I was just about exhausted at first call, running out every hour to move the car.......so I wouldn't have another $30 parking ticket!
Second place.....I think after maybe 8 years.....I am finally rubbing off on this gal!
Things were actually picked up!......well her 'jammies and undies were still on the floor......but everything else was picked up!~...lol...guess she didn't want to shock me all at once......lol
It did NOT take me 40 minutes to pick up kids toys & go around and empty garbage pails before I can really start to "clean"..., like it normally does!
I really got a shock when I went to gas up......

(I thought that too until I figured it out "in English"!)
If I calculate right, that is ONLY
"11.16258 Imperial gallons"!
($1.380 per litre/$6.21 per Canadian gallon)
With as many "common people" as there are in this World......one of US has to figure out a way to send a message to these oil companies that "Enough IS Enough"!
Can't we do that?
To make matters worse, dh has been yapping for days about "Donuts"......so I thought while I was there I would treat him to what "they say" are good donuts....Krispy Kreme(Personally,... I do not like this type). I bought 1 dozen...I thought I paid $7.99 for them.
After supper dh tried one and almost immediately he started complaining....so I had one...well a bite of one!
They were soooooo stale, that when I bit into a "glazed one".....it "crunched"!!!!
Dug out my bill and I had paid $11.38 for the dozen
I called the place I had bought the gas & donuts and they told me they had been "brought in 'tween 3 & 5 a.m."!!!!!
Hello! I was there at 3:45 p.m.! They could of been 12 hours old~~[past delivery anyway.](with my food background, I would guess they had been made around 10 p.m. on Tuesday night!)
The people at the station were totally useless....when it came to assistance........like "soooo? you want me to do what? about it?"
I am the wrong person the have that attitude with!
I hung up and called Shell!
I managed to score 150 extra air miles plus they are having the Regional Manager call me as well as investigate the "time product is offered as fresh"....(I suggested they should be bagged & sold as either "day olds to the public OR pig feed to a farmer"!)
If I do NOT get an acceptable solution for me.....I will take this to the media!
$11.38 for stale product.....will not go "un-challenged" in this house!
Okay.....maybe I better shut up and leave space for someone else....?
Sorry..it annoys me to be screwed by large corporations and not be kissed first!
