Kelly's Spicy Baked Beans (For a crowd)

Ingredients

1-lb. lean hamburger
1 lg. onion
1/2 lb. lean platter bacon, cut into 1/2" pcs., (use kitchen scissors)

          ***
3-1 lb.15oz. cans pork and beans, drained
1 cup ketchup (I use Hunt's)
4 Tbl. worcestershire sauce
4 Tbl. vinegar
1 ( packed ) cup dark brown sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 rounded tsp. mustard
1 1/2 Tbl. chili powder
1 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 cup (medium to hot, your preference)  thick and chunky-style salsa
1/2 Tbl. cumin
1 1/4 tsp. pepper

Procedure

In lg. frying pan, cook hamburger, onion, and bacon til done. Drain grease, dump into (greased) baking *roaster, or lg. crock pot(s).
Stir in rest of ingredients, (folding in beans last),Bake in 350* oven, covered, for 30 minutes, lightly stir,  and bake, uncovered,  20 minutes longer. (A little longer in crock pot on medium, or several hours on low covered, stirring gently once or twice).

Even if I'm not serving a crowd, I make up a whole batch and freeze the rest to pop out,  thaw and heat  for another time!
