For those of you that have a weak memory, I'll refresh it by reminding you that Adalyn didn't believe any of Johnny's bull shit and has since then called it quits with him. Adalyn hated being wrong, but in this case she knew that she had been beyond wrong about choosing Johnny when her best friend, Kevin Carter had warned her and told her not to go with him. And she was thinking that maybe she should just break down and admit that to him. Whether she will or not though will soon be revealed because the scene starts off showing Adalyn's sparkling gold Volvo S40 pulling into a driveway that shockingly doesn't belong to the WGEF...no, this driveway belongs to Kevin Carter's house. As her car comes to a stop, she reaches over for her silver leopard print Betsey Johnson purse and slings it over her shoulder before opening the door and stepping outside. She walks up to the front door and knocks twice as she waits for an answer.....just a few seconds later, the door opens to show Kevin Carter standing there, looking more than a little shocked to see her. Adalyn manages to put a small smile on her face before speaking. ADALYN r a i n e;; Hey....do you care if I come in for a minute? KEVIN c a r t e r;; Of course not Ady.... __;; Kevin then steps aside so Adalyn can walk inside the house. He closes the door behind them as he watches her walk off into his living room and take a seat on his couch. He follows her and then sits beside her before speaking again. KEVIN c a r t e r;; Okay, so not that I care that your here or anything, because you know I love hanging with you...but honestly, you havn't really said much since I confronted you about the whole Johnny thing. ADALYN r a i n e;; Yeah, that's pretty much why I'm here Kevin. KEVIN c a r t e r;; Oh? Alright, well what's up? __;; Adalyn lets out a breath of air as she sets her purse down on the ground and looks over at Kevin to speak. ADALYN r a i n e;; Well, as you may or may not know....me and him arn't dating anymore. We havn't been since he came to talk to me that one day...but I wanted to say that....that I'm sorry. I should of listened to you when you told me that I deserved better, but I thought he cared about me, ya know? *she shakes her head and shrugs her shoulders a bit before continuing* But whatever, that doesn't matter anymore because its the past and I obviously can't change what happened. __;; Adalyn pauses for a moment, looking up and over at Kevin who is just sitting there listening. Adalyn smiles slightly as she speaks again. ADALYN r a i n e;; And for once in my life, I'm not even sure what to say now. KEVIN c a r t e r;; *he smiles* Its okay Ady, apology accepted....just listen to me next time 'kay? __;; Kevin smirks a bit, obviously teasing her as she rolls her eyes a bit before speaking. ADALYN r a i n e;; Riiiiight, whatever! *she smirks* Oh, but I did have sort of a question to ask you... KEVIN c a r t e r;; Alright, go for it. ADALYN r a i n e;; *she smiles* Okay, well....remember when I was still debating going out with Johnny a couple months back and you were teasing me saying that you could do better than him? KEVIN c a r t e r;; Yeah, I remember that.... ADALYN r a i n e;; Alright, well do you still think that?.....do you really think you could do better than Johnny? KEVIN c a r t e r;; Well yeah! Anybody could do a better job of being your boyfriend than that jack ass! ADALYN r a i n e;; *she laughs lightly* Okay then why don't you prove it to me! KEVIN c a r t e r;; Prove it to you?...Ady, are you serious? ADALYN r a i n e;; Yeah, why not? *she smiles* If you honestly think you can treat me better than that "jack ass"....then why not prove it to me? __;; At this point it's obvious that Kevin is at a slight loss for words as he thinks for a moment...not really believing that Adalyn is serious. They had been the best of friends for years now, so to hear that she was basically wanting to go out with him was a shocker...not necessarily a bad one...but a shocker none the less. Adalyn folds her arms across her chest, placing a smug grin on her face as she raises an eyebrow, looking over at Kevin, waiting to see what he will say.
