__;; Okay, so I guess there's no use trying to beat around the bush any further, because it's quite obvious that Chris isn't going to let Adalyn walk away without specifically answering his question. But really, why did she come to him? Why not the "golden boy" of the moment, Chris McKenzie or the infamous Trish Stratus? Anybody else new to the business would of gladly jumped in one of their arms, so what did make Mr. Michaels so damn special? It's not like she could get something on the side from him, so that option was out. And as far as having a super nice personality, he wasn't that high on the todem pole. So what in the hell did Adalyn see in this man? Adalyn stares across the room at Chris, who at this very moment resembles somewhat of a three-year-old sitting on the edge of his bed, eagerly waiting for the dramatic ending of his bed time story. Adalyn smiles at this, happy that she obviously has his full attention, but then frowns again when she remember why she has his attention. She hadn't really put much thought into having to deal with questions like these, so hopefully her answer wouldn't show that she was thrown somewhat completly off guard. Adalyn composes herself and leans forward a bit in her seat as well before finally answering Chris.
Adalyn Raine;; Honestly Chris, believe it or not, I actually did a little studying up on this place before signing my contract...trying to make sure that I wasn't just setting myself up to work in some trashy shit hole only to deal with a bunch of dumb asses. And by doing so, in the process I found out a little bit of information about all the "top superstars and divas" here. Of course, the first person to stick out for me was Chris McKenzie, but after watching a couple of his promos and matches, more than anything he just seems to be an asshole, someone that I couldn't see myself working under. Not to mention, he doesn't seem like 'thee absolute greatest' thing to walk the face of the planet either. If anything, the bastard just got lucky with his title shot.
Chris Michaels;; *he laughs* Alright, fair enough. But that still leaves you a couple other 'top dog' options... such as Trish and Kaylee. So, why not them? Or why not even Jeanette Salazar, she is our reigning womens champion after all.
__; Chris smirks to himself, as Adalyn gives him a momentary blank glance. And no, it's not because she didn't know what to say to his ongoing persistance to get a solid answer out of her, but because the answer seemed so obvious, that she is surprised he didn't figure it out for himself.
Adalyn Raine;; Seriously Chris?....You really don't know the answer to that one?
__;; Adalyn gets a cocky grin on her face as she folds her arms across her chest and looks at Chris, who as of right now has a rather perplexed look on his face. Adalyn didn't really wait for him to answer, seeing as how it was mostly a rhetorical question.
Adalyn Raine;; And here I thought that the 'best' of wgef would be a tad bit smarter than what you're putting out to be. *she laughs* Hunny, why would I want to work with women?....the gender of which ninety five percent of the time I will be placed in a match against. That is just a useless fued waiting to happen. Besides, the way I see it, Trish and Jeanette would probably be scared to even train and mentor another female that actually has some talent around here, because let's face it...eventually I will become experienced enough to beat them at their own games and steal their titles away. And, well sweetie, you should know firsthand that nobody wants that to happen to them.
__;; Adalyn smiles to herself as Chris shakes his head and finally starts to relax back into his seat, perhaps beginning to realize that Adalyn was just making a wise decision coming straight to him for help.
Adalyn Raine;; So, as you can see, with those other options being labeled as a waste of my precious time, the obvious pick had to be you, but I didn't want to just have you mentor me, because all the other 'top dogs' either were ass holes or going to be fore-seen as future problems, no I also wanted to make sure that you had something to offer me. And after also watching a couple of your own promos, it was apparant that you do know how to work the audience and intimidate your opponents....which made me curious about how well you performed in the ring. *she smiles* And surprisingly, your abilities in the ring didn't disappoint me, because I'm not gonna lie, but for a moment I thought maybe you were going to be one of them guys that can only talk the talk, but can't back it up.
__;; Adalyn pauses for a moment as Chris looks at her intently, waiting for her to continue.
Adalyn Raine;; But obviously, you are not one of them guys, or I wouldn't even be here in your locker room right now. *she smiles* So, have I finally given you the perfect answer to your endless question? Or are you still not satisfied with why little ole' me came to the great Christopher Michaels?
__;; Adalyn raises an eyebrow at Chris as he smiles to himself. He leans forward in his seat once again before answering her question.
