Other things you should know.
A 16 seed has never beaten a 1 seed.
However a 15 seed has beaten a 2 seed.
A 5 seed loses to a 12 seed almost every year. The trick is just picking the right one.
Never in the history of the tournament have all #1 seeds made it to the final four. The most you can hope for is two. Maybe.
Kansas chokes every year. (Hahaha. That one is for Mizidol) |

NO WAY!
Heels all the way Baaaaaybeee! ( I really don't care. I just have a tendency to root for them since my favorite college bball team, Michigan, has sucked since the Fab 5 left and got busted for being dirty.)

Apparently, I've already signed up at CBS sports before... probably for NASCAR or something. Now, if we ever did a NASCAR thing... I'd do great! lol. Anyway, so we just pick the teams we predict will win from each match up on the left and right? And what are the numbers in ( ) ? |

Ok... I think I see... the numbers in ( ) are their ranking in that division, right? |

Yep. That's the seeding or ranking that the committee gave to those respective teams.
North Carolina is the overall #1 seed.

Just make sure that all your picks are in by this Thursday morning. I think it's like 10:00am, EST or something.
You can take your time and study some more. Then make your picks.

heheh, yeah I hear you....when I was way young, I liked UNLV cuz they reminded me of the Hurricanes of basketball....but then they got upset by Duke that year, then Tarkanian's corrupt machine was exposed, and UNLV has never been the same, though at least we have Greg Anthony in the studio now, for times when the NBA is watchable.....but anyway, yeah UNLV was a flash in the pan and my fanship for them never took, and so I just enjoyed the ebb and flow of many teams, but I did end up going to duke for my mba, so, obviously i'm in that camp and not UNC's....though, when duke plays miami, in basketball even, i still find myself pulling for the canes.....which is odd cuz since miami was never any good at bball---except for when we had Rick Berry, lol---i tended to like duke and figured i'd naturally pull for them when they played UM on the hardwood, then vice versa on the gridiron...but it hasn't worked out that way...anyway, i got both my teams in the tourney this year, whoohooo |
