Way to go Jayhawks.  Well done.  I can't believe that Memphis choked away that 9 point lead with under 2 minutes left, especially that, what was it, 6 point lead with under a minute when Dorsey committed a mindless foul, fouling out, giving way for KU to do as they wished in their comeback.  What a choke job.  And the missed free throws....always a killer when you can't hit those when they matter.

Anyway, when that lead was narrowed, the Memphis 3 that was reviewed and downgraded to a 2, and then the Tigers' star player only hit one of two free throws (on the heels of his teammates missing the previous two), making it a 3 point game instead of a 4, I still thought that was ballgame till that dude drained that 3 with 2 seconds to go.  I spent the first 4 minutes of OT brushing my teeth and applying my eye cream, and nightly facial treatment before climbing into bed to watch KU run out the clock, as I knew it was over when they hit that 3.  Good job Kansas.

A question to the Rock Chalk faithful:  Will Bill Self stay?  Or will T. Boone Pickens and his millions (reportedly an offer of $40 Million over 10 years) lure Coach Self away to Oklahoma State?  I think he graduated and played for the Cowboys, no?  So what do you predict?  I'm sure Kansas will pony up some more cash to get him to stay, but they cannot compete with OSU money, surely.

When Chalmers hit that three, I swear I thought I heard Conrad and Miz scream from their respective homes.

It was a great game. Like Torty said, showed that you have to make those free throws when it matters. Memphis looked like they didn't know what to do in OT.

Congrats to KU and to Anma for winning our tourney.

Until next year.

Oh, I'm pretty sure everyone one in our condo building heard me scream. I seriously thought it was over.

The when he hit it, I told Andrew: "That was a miracle. They've gotta win now, cause there was a reason he just made that shot."

I was just floored. What a team!!! I can't help grinning like a fool whenever I think about it. My sister still lives in the KU area (well, 45 minutes way, but still KU territory, lol) and so I called her... she said her neighborhood was going nuts. Firecrackers, people cheering in the streets, flipping their porch lights on and off. I really wished I coulda been in Kansas for that.

I didn't watch the infamous last shot or the OT but I watched the highlights and that was an EPIC shot!
