Dane Cook, who was the guest on Leno right before Taylor last night, said he watched the show and loves Taylor, but that when Clay came out (and Cook described Clay and his movements) he thought they should rename the show American Asshole. |

I guess the whole geeky "OMG-I-love-you-so-much-and-worship-you-and-want-to-be-like-you" thing that some kids do just pisses me off, lol. |

All those middle-aged women and teen-aged girls who wanted to boink him and analyzed his every fucking nuance. BUT, now that I am removed from seeing those kinds of asshats all over the other messageboards, I can once again see him objectively. Definitely the best male vocalist of all five seasons, IMO, and a great, confident performer, to boot. | | I haven't read through the whole thread, but just had to respond to this. I completely agree. He look HIDEOUS and has fully become K.D. Lang, but his voice is just gorgeous! Anything that sounds kind of Broadway belty (cause I'm a huge dork) gives me goosebumps.  |

I pulled out Clay's Bridge Over Troubled Water single today and, WOW! He is definitely the best male vocalist this show has ever had. I took it to the streets, and was driving around playing it over and over. Then I called one of my friends (who doesn't watch Idol) and told him, "Guess what I'm doing? I'm listening to Clay Aiken sing Bridge Over Troubled Water." He said, "For some reason, I have that CD. It's really good." I said, "That's because I bought like 50 copies of it when it was released and distributed them to everyone I knew." LMAO. |
