Ok, only saw the second half (and I'm SO bummed I missed Earth, Wind and Fire - "September" is one of my favorite songs, ever!)....

My favorite moments were the Simpsons sketch, the "Stayin' Alive" montage (that was awsome!), and the Celine/Elvis duet. !!

Oh, I also got pretty dang excited to see Jeff Beck up there with what's-her-face - he's STILL one of the best guitarists ever. That was the biggest surprise for me last night, seeing him there. I wished there had been more "solo" work, but whatever.

Enjoyed seeing Annie Lennox - I love her - but I didn't like the arrangement of that song, nor did I think the sound people did her any freakin' favors. But I don't care, she's still awsome as hell.

What else? Um....I guess that's it, I didn't see the first hour and from the clips they showed this morning, other than EW&F, I didn't miss anything. Oh, I did go over at a commercial and Jack Black was coming up on stage. I clicked away, lol.

That Josh guy - sorry, but what a *yawn* boring singer he is! I haven't heard him before, I thought he was like "really big", but.... Ick. Maybe it was just the song. I don't think I heard one song I actually liked. No, wasn't the song, I really don't like his voice. Eh, whatever... Those kids were kinda cute though.

I tend to tune out the "gimme gimme gimme your money" stuff, so don't know what else what on last night, lol.

Only saw a minute of the beginning of that Bono song, cuz Lost was starting, but from what I heard......wow, all I can say is, U2 was WAY better with their first 2 albums, lol. (Bono wrote that last song, right? That was the impression I got....)

Hugh Laurie was my favorite moment.  lol.

Missed EW&F, bummed about that.

Loved the Stayin' Alive video.

I didn't like Annie's song, the sound, the arrangement, I don't know.  But I LOVE her, and think she's a beautiful woman.

And the Simpson's cracked me up.

Me too, but I did hear (and want to make sure everyone else knew) that Ellen donated a hundred grand of her own money on the spot.

Yes, she did!  And she told all her Hollywood buddies to at least match her amount.

I don't know why this whole concept disturbed me. I didn't want to bring it up, cuz I guess today I'm not in the mood to be the outcast minority member, lol (today is my ex's funeral services, so my mind is elsewhere).

Actually, I do know "why" - years ago I got burned out on the whole gimme gimme thing to help others, yet here it is years and years later and they're still saying gimme gimme for the same things. Not that people don't deserve help, but I'm extremely suspicious of where donated money goes anymore...

(Plus, I watch AI for entertainment, and asking me for money isn't entertaining, lol)

 Ellen.

Even if her gol-danged show didn't give me tickets when she came to Universal Orlando. They "ran out". But I saw her giving tix to screaming witches on her show every day for three weeks after I was turned down.

Oh well, the show I would've been able to go to would have had John Mellencamp and John Stamos. Yawn.

I'd really be pissed if it had turned out to be the Joey Fat-one episode.

the Joey Fat-one episode

Oh hey, that reminds me - something I've been meaning to ask, cuz I know people here will have the answer, lol. That's the same dude you're referring to that's on that Dancing with the Stars thing this year, right? Who the hell is that guy, anyway?

He was in N*Sync.

Joey Fatone, Justin Timberlake, the gay dude who wanted to go into space and was dating Reichen and whose name escapes me right now, and two other nobodies.
