Ok, only saw the second half (and I'm SO bummed I missed Earth, Wind and Fire - "September" is one of my favorite songs, ever!)....
My favorite moments were the Simpsons sketch, the "Stayin' Alive" montage (that was awsome!), and the Celine/Elvis duet. !!
Oh, I also got pretty dang excited to see Jeff Beck up there with what's-her-face - he's STILL one of the best guitarists ever. That was the biggest surprise for me last night, seeing him there. I wished there had been more "solo" work, but whatever.
Enjoyed seeing Annie Lennox - I love her - but I didn't like the arrangement of that song, nor did I think the sound people did her any freakin' favors. But I don't care, she's still awsome as hell.
What else? Um....I guess that's it, I didn't see the first hour and from the clips they showed this morning, other than EW&F, I didn't miss anything. Oh, I did go over at a commercial and Jack Black was coming up on stage. I clicked away, lol.
That Josh guy - sorry, but what a *yawn* boring singer he is! I haven't heard him before, I thought he was like "really big", but.... Ick. Maybe it was just the song. I don't think I heard one song I actually liked. No, wasn't the song, I really don't like his voice. Eh, whatever... Those kids were kinda cute though.
I tend to tune out the "gimme gimme gimme your money" stuff, so don't know what else what on last night, lol.
Only saw a minute of the beginning of that Bono song, cuz Lost was starting, but from what I heard......wow, all I can say is, U2 was WAY better with their first 2 albums, lol. (Bono wrote that last song, right? That was the impression I got....)
